WASHINGTON — If Democrats had doubts about the voter unrest that threatens to rob them of their majority in Congress, they needed only look from the Capitol this weekend to the opposite end of the National Mall.

It's where Ken Ratliff joined tens of thousands of other anti-government activists at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial for conservative commentator Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally.

"There's gotta' be a change, man," said Ratliff, a 55-year-old Marine veteran from Rochester, N.Y.

Heh, I didn’t! Not my cup of tea party to drive for 18 hours in a day. But a busload here did and I’m sure they had a good time. I have a young daughter and no family in the area to watch her for a very long day. I went to the zoo, the science museum and played Monopoly with my little family. For every person there at the event there were 1000’s that would have liked to have gone but couldn’t because of distance, money, prior commitments, or logistics. We watched it on the internet.

I have a new respect for Glenn Beck after his ‘restore Honor’ rall.

When one listens carefully to Sharpton and Jackson, one can’t help but hear & see that both earned thier “Ministries”, their so-called “knowledge” about the world and how to fix it from the back of a box of matches or “Archie” comics. How in the world can any THINKING human being give one moment of any serious thought to these charlatans? It is said that Jackson refused to change his blood-stained shirt for a full day after MLK’s assassination. I do not know if this is true or not but if true, shows that the likes of Sharpton and Jackson are nothing but OPPORTUNIST-CHARLANTANS, milking their congregants and milking a niave electorate. Oooops! Am I being racist here?

I do think these contrasting images are playing in many American’s minds and I pray that the Nov. election will be a nuclear event!

2010 and then 2012. We need intensity that doesn't fade at the first victory. I remember the Reagan years when we let the party get taken back by the Bush/Dole/McCain crowd once Reagan left the stage. Not again, please!

There are 3 groups of people who give credit to what these 2 charlatans say:
  1. The rabble, on the dole.
  2. The leftists, on the march.
  3. The business community, cowering in fear.

But wait a minute. I thought the “rabble” (in the eyes of the MSM) was the “primitive”, “gun-toting”, Tea Party, resewing, simple folk and NOT the Liberal Left. The Liberal Left is ENLIGHTENED and INTELLECTUAL in comparison. Your claim that the “cowering business community” is puzzling. Can you explain?

The politicians (Dems and Repubs) criticize the Tea Partiers as nothing to worry about. Let me remind them that the British underestimated the Boston Tea Partiers too.

You’re right, Netz. I guess that just proves I’m part of the rabble (as defined by the MSM).

:)

I thought the rabble was the Right-wing, gun-toting, Patriotic and somewhat religious plebeians...not the other way around. Can you explain?

By the way, how do double posts happen. I see them once in a while and I’m curious how they occur. I know I’ve accidentally double-clicked on the post button and didn’t double-post so it must be some other weird sequence of keystrokes/mouseclicks that makes it happen. Do you know what just happen to cause your post to appear twice?

(Just curious.)

Sorry for multi-postings. I am just getting hyped up! Around the world, (except in the Islamic world), educated persons usually are identified with the left or Liberal causes. This means, of course that the Left is peace-loving, while the right is warmongering. The left is in the peace-camp, the right, in the war camp. The Left believes in progress while the right is primitive and behind the times. The left wants CHANGE...the right likes the situation as it is...the status quo. In the Islamic world, no matter how much an intellectual learns, they have to either identify with radical Islamic thought or (as in the case of Cairo University) follow the party line. That is what America's ultra-liberals are doing now, following the party line...following Obama into the abyss...

Sharpton and his ilk have been using MLK legacy as a means of employment for decades. The balck caucus, NAACP are promised a seat at the big table by therats if they can secure thier votes in every election there by securing thier power and thier place at the table.

Maybe MORE! Our currant politicians in Washington are in trouble and they don't know it. November is going to be the start of fall house clening.

I am working off of a lap top and my fingers are moving too quickly. As a result, I think I send the message along after NOT finishing the spellcheck. As a result, it gets sent in without me intending to send it yet. My mistake, got to calm down...all this talk about Sharpton (aka “Dullton”) and the event yesterday has me jumping in my seat...

:)

Dullton is good, but I’m partial to NotSoSharpton.

Kind of like Madeline Halfbright.
