WASHINGTON—Thousands of conservative activists arrived in the nation's capitol for a series of rallies and political events, the main draw of which is a controversial Saturday rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
The event, dubbed Restoring Honor, is hosted by Fox News Channel personality Glenn Beck.
Billed as apolitical and held on the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, the event is expected to draw tens of thousands of people for speeches by Mr. Beck, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and other prominent conservatives.
The Beck rally organizers say the event is a fund-raiser for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a Tampa, Fla.,-based group that gives scholarship grants to the children of special-operations soldiers killed in battle.
The group, which took in $5.7 million in contributions last year, also is paying for the event, which is expected to cost at least $2 million. The foundation's website says it is currently providing educational grants to more than 800 children.

On a radio news update this afternoon, they let that boob Sharpton spout some insane nonsense about Beck. Al was in his usual race baiter form, whipping up the stupid, so he can have some more “walkin’ around money”.
We know MLK would frown upon the likes of Sharpton and join Glenn and Alveda King in prayerful discussions at the Lincoln Memorial.
Glenn’s radio crew said on his show this morning that C-SPAN will be carrying the rally. No details were given.

Remains to be seen, the Barrack Panthers disruption tactics! I believe they’ll start pushing and shoving to get a reaction that prompts the police to “break it up” and end the event to “protect the citizens,” of course, what else?
What the heck are they going to do with the other hundreds of thousands who show up?
Can the police shut down the city restricting buses entering?
