I think that behind the scenes China and South Korea are cooperating on plans for the post-Kim era in North Korea.
China knows the future is with a united Korea with the current South Korean government in control. China wants Korea in their sphere of influence, and they are trying to make that transition as smooth as possible.
I learned the other day the Admins don’t see pings unless they are logged in as Admin. They have a seperate column or something that shows them abuse button reports and some extra features. Most of the time they are logged in under their own screen names and don’t see pings.

While that may be true, China is not going to agree to a unified Korea IMO unless the ROK agrees to boot out all US military personnel. The last thing China wants is US troops on its border. Probably one of the biggest reasons China tolerates NK is that is serves as a buffer to US forces in the ROK
I think that would be part of the deal. South Korea gets help from China in easing the transition, in exchange for kicking the US troops out. Reunification is going to cost a ton, as the Germans found out. China is willing to make that investment.
I am not convinced China is going to go for a reunification. Reunifying East and West Germany will look like child’s play in comparison to putting the Koreas back together.
But I still think China looks at the powerful economy of South Korea and wants to bring them into the fold. Had it not been for Kim and Company, I think China and South Korea would have been very close years ago. North Korea was more of a nuisance for China in that regard.
That’s unfortunate. Hopefully, they will get around to seeing this.

The reality now is that N.K. would be alot more than a nuisance if the Koreas were to unify. One of the worlds largest standing armies, most heavily armed piece of real estate in the world (38th parallel), a failing/non-existent economy, can’t feed it’s own people, not to mention the NORKs have been heavily indoctrinated with the Kim regime BS.
