Should I Do This?

I am contemplating a form of politicol/cultural activism that may be totally unique. I need help from some wise and insightful Freepers. I need to know:
1) Should I do this. (I need a little nudge) 2) Ideas for the posters. (you guys are very creative)
Ok here's the concept. In my beloved home town of Tampa we have a relatively new phenomonem. Pan handlers occupy almost every street corner. Generally there are 3 or 4 at one intersection. They have now been afforded an aire of legitimacy as the local "public servants" have distributed to them, florescent vests.
They proudly and dutifully don their new uniforms, stake out a busy intersection, and resolutely stand with their hand made cardboard signs, bravely enduring the rejection and indifference of 93% of the motorists.

I wonder what would happen if I made some signs and paid these guys a few bucks to display them. Maybe something like "Thanks Obama, Your Stimulus Really Helped!" or, "Vote Democrat, steal money from your neighbor." The possibilies are endless. Help, I need intervention.

Great idea. The only problem I see is that they probably get more money panhandling than you make.

If you employ the services of drug addicts, alcoholics, the chronically homeless, street hucksters, and the mentally disturbed, you will get exactly what you pay for.

Just be ready for the local media to track you down and portray you as an evil Tea Partier exploiting the poor and downtrodden.
May I suggest my tagline as one of your signs?

Unless you have somebody reliable who will watch them all day, they’ll ditch your sign once you’ve paid them and driven off to your own job.

They would probably make even more money holding one of these signs. LOL

Pay a couple and give it a try
Pay them to put it on, and tell them they get another payment at the end of the day if they still have it on
If you show up and they are not wearing it- no payment
try one or two then expand if it works

Try this sign:
“Obama’s banker friends got $1.4 trillion stimulus and all I got was this lousy vest”

personally I think conservative politically sharp messages will generate more action $$$ than their pathetic, “Help, will work for food” Bs. They must all have the same publicist.
