Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli issued a legal opinion Monday that could pave the way for greater restrictions on the state's abortion clinics.

...

"The state has long regulated outpatient surgical facilities and personnel to ensure a certain level of protection for patients. There is no reason to hold facilities providing abortion services to any lesser standard for their patients. Even pharmacies, funeral homes, and veterinary clinics are regulated by the state," [Brian Gottstein said. Brian Gottstein is the spokesman for Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli]

...

"This means fewer women are going to be injured and fewer children in future childbirths will be injured. that's what it means," [State Rep Bob] Marshall said.

This is all about making sure women/girls are not injured by abortions. This will help women/girls.

The Baby Killing Lobby claims that the safety of women/girls is unimportant -- it is more important to allow more babies to be killed.

I thought seriously of adding a "Sad-Pro-Aborts" keyword to the thread. There seems to be a lot of sadness (losses/decisions the pro-aborts are losing lately).

I never knew they weren’t regulated because of the nature of the “care” being dolled out. So now I have another arrow in the quiver to bolster my arguements. I’ll have to see if it the same in this state.

States should nullify federal abortion rules and state courts should "underrule" (v. "overrule") unconstitutional SCOTUS and federal court decisions mandating abortion.

When I was doing my anti-abortion clinic work, we spent a good amount of time trying to get the local authorities to check clinics for things as inane as fire code violations and handicapped parking access. No one would pay them a visit. Forget about medical oversight, no one would take them on.

When I was a high school student taking US & Virginia Government, I noticed that a 16-year-old girl could not get her ears pierced without parental consent. Yet that same girl could legally get an abortion without her parents ever being notified.
