How the GOP would govern the House (bring back earmarks???)
Politico ^ | 8/23/10 | Jake Sherman

RICHMOND, Va. — House Republicans have banked on voter anger, a sputtering economy and an unpopular president to propel them ahead of Democrats in the polls so far this year.

But now they’re trying to lay the foundation for how they would actually govern.

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said a House GOP majority will focus on aggressive oversight of the Obama administration, will work to defund the agencies responsible for implementing health care and will push a “zero tolerance” ethics policy. He also said Republicans may roll back their ban on earmarks, as long as the spending items have “merit.”

And yes, I already called his office. There is a nice young woman answering the phone who sounds like a college intern to me. I didn’t wanna get too salty with her.

These stupid sons of many ugly bitches, haven't won a damn seat and are already trying to figure out how to piss off their base and become a one term wonder.

It's no wonder that any thinking person hates all politicians.

A year of Tea Parties, protesting gov’t waste, trying to raise money for candidates who will stop the spending and this stupid moron SOB says that.

And they say Obama has a tin ear?

Cantor, be warned...in case you win the house, YOU and BOEHNER will be on a very short leash.

We’re out of patience, pal.

And the idiots in GOP don’t see the rollback of earmarks as being counter to the first two initiatives?!

I’ve said it over and over, the Republican politicians are politicians first. Give them power, and they’ll screw up the country, just in a different way.

Revolution.

They just can’t wait to piss off voters, can they? They have some serious proving to do IF they take power that they deserve to be there, otherwise look for Pelosi as the Comeback Speaker of the Year for 2012.

Never underestimate the RNC and the current ruling classes. I fear this is not going to turn out well.

Wanna know what’s pathetic? I expected one of these turkeys in leadership to say something exactly as stupid as that. You wouldn’t really be surprised, would you?

No wonder they wanna keep the Tea Party candidates for getting elected.

Bastards...

The dirty little secret the RINO's have yet to learn is we're going to come down on their asses just like the dems if they charge in there trying to screw things up again.

Conservatives need to have honor and principles enough to fix the leak in their own boat before they start bitching about the Titanic.

Bring down the wrath on them now, let them know we're not going to put up with any of their trash either. IF this coming November IS a landslide, we should not stand for the RINO's to take it as we're giving them Carte Blance either.

The coming "landslide" - if that's the case - will be a referendem against the far, radical, left of obama, reid, and pelosi...not a lottery win for the GOP.

I think the GOP will find a much different populace if they get back in to power, for the current crop of socialists we have has served to hone the political perserverance of a lot of Americans.

Washington, we are paying closer attention to you than EVER, and IF we get out of this conundrum, we'll never allow you to slide back into this abyss again.

But, "IF"...is a big word.

And no doubt will also roll back their concern for the deficit at the same time?

From each and every sitting senator and house member I would love to hear “I quit”. That won't happen so let's fire as many incumbents as possible this November.

Trashing and condemning "earmarks" is one of the ways Democrats keep Republicans from getting re-elected since bringing jobs and projects back to your district is the best way to show results to your voters.

The stupid Republicans are the ones who give in to their lexicon and call the necessary district services, "earmarks". Its really ridiculous. Democrats pile on the pork for 40 years and the first time Republicans control Congress and do ANYTHING for their constituents the press screams "EARMARKS!!!"

Conservatives could use a class in American Politics.
