President Obama busily continued his five-state cross-country political money collection tour today.
But he took time out to declare that he has "no regrets" about his firm statement of support for a new mosque and social center near the site in New York City of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Shortly after, Gallup released a new overnight poll showing, however, that many Americans have regrets that their president made that statement.
The new survey found that among the 57% of Americans with an opinion, 37% of Americans disapprove of the Democrat's mosque comments. Twenty percent support them. Another 41% said they don't yet know enough to have an opinion.
Two-thirds of Americans told Gallup they are paying a great deal or fair amount of attention to the mosque issue, which Gallup suggests is playing a role in Obama's overall approval this week falling to 41%, the lowest level of his 19-month presidency.

I have an intensely negative visceral reaction just having to look at his photo. Surely, this must be happening to millions of others in our country.

Just watched “Flight 93” tonight and this mosque business reminds me ... whatever happened to the “peace memorial” with trees planted in an islamic crescent that was going to be built in the PA field where Flight 93 crashed?
He plainly doesn't care how low his poll numbers go or what Americans think of him and his pro-Islam agenda. The majority of Americans, however, care very much about Ground Zero and the respect this site commands for all time to come.
Americans are also becoming very concerned regarding government at all levels for disrespecting their votes (judges with agendas, justice gone awry with rulings about those who attempt to subvert voting such as the New Black Panthers and groups like ACORN and the SEIU who are bussed in to alter and/or protest voting), and the flagrant disregard of the Will of the People, the Rule of Law and The Constitution and Bill of Rights.
The outrageous statements and claims that have raised our eyebrows and our level of concern this week alone (such as Pelosi suggesting those opposed to the mosque be investigated) are enough to give great impetus for Americans to vote them out of office in November.
Did anyone else see the Frank Luntz focus group on Sean Hannity’s show the other night? He’s toast! Only the two Muslims were defending him! The majority voted for him, but you could tell they had SERIOUS buyer’s remorse and some were plain disgusted!
I can’t help it but I’m tickled to death that dipsh*t chose the side of the Islamofascists on this one. So far, the this summer, Barack the Kenyan has sided with the illegal aliens against Americans and now the Islamfascists against the Americans. Whadda a guy!
