I'm always amazed by that. I don't think they were the first to do it, but the Dixie Chicks really did it in style. They were right up at the top, big stars in Country Music, very popular in many red states. Then they decided to walk out on stage and pretty much call Bush a moron and insult anyone dumb enough to have voted for such a dork.

"And, oh -- by the way -- our new album is coming out next week! I hope y'all buy it!"

And that was it for them.
