If the court allows the marriages, all the country will be watching wedding after wedding out there. It will rile up talk radio and the photos will make normal people sick all over the country. Not good for the Dems and the elections. Thus they delay the spectacle until after November. Fact.
The greater danger would be the absolute legal fog that allowing tentative fake "marriages" would have if/when the appeals court finds for the defendants. Remember that this whole fiasco was make exponentially murkier by the California Supreme Court allowing homo-"marriages" to take place while the Prop 8 election was pending. The homo-anarchists were given incredible leverage by claiming that a civil "right" had been taken from them.
Don't worry about lack of negative PR created by the homo-perverts. Their disappointment at this stay will be expressed, as usual, in the most vile, diabolical fashion for all the world to see. They just can't help themselves.
