George W. Bush makes surprise visit to U.S. troops

Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, made a surprise visit to U.S. troops this afternoon.

They showed up at the USO in the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. There they mingled with the returning soldiers, thanked them, chatted and posed for photos as proof of the unexpected encounter for folks back home.

The USO just posted an assortment of the photos on its Facebook page, which quickly drew a growing list of appreciative comments.

"What an AWESOME moment," Robert Rowe wrote. "If anyone can't see the President and First Lady's love for our nations troops, they must be dead or blind. May God Bless them ALL !" Richard Cruz wrote: "The look on that kid's face says it all...."

And Shirley Lovely Fry added: "A President and First Lady who love their country and their country's military."

Our current pretender in chief was too busy.
He was out on the golf course ..probably as a favor to O.J. ( looking for the real killers ).

or maybe he was shooting hoops with some Gulf War amputees.

Yabbut...Who, as a service member, (or just in general) would you rather meet, anyway? The pretender or the last President of the US (so far)?

What ever else people think of Bush the one thing we can all agree on, he is a class act.

One of the little know things about Bush is he would go to Walter Reed and visit the wounded troops coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan without taking any media along.

"or maybe he was shooting hoops with some Gulf War amputees."

That's the problem, he's not shooting hoops with war amputees. If he was doing that I think people would give him positive reviews. He's shooting hoops with Lebron and D-Wade. He doesn't have time to shoot hoops with the "little people". It's all about him...

What a racist act!

Again, it is Bush's fault that the pResident is made to look bad!

I would rather have Bush at his worst in the White House than Obama at his best (if the is a best).

the MSM will be BLASTING BUSH over this today!
Count on it.

ANd yes, it will be because it shows the stark contrast between him and that “diva” we currently have in office, who was probably on the golf course all day yesterday, followed by a bbq at the WH last night.

That’s great! You can tell they’re really happy to see him.

Bush may have made some mistakes (mostly, trying to be too nice) but he genuinely loved and respected this country and our troops.

A little payback for the Bush-bashing on Obama’s visit to Dallas (where he did not meet with the troops).

I loved President Bush throughout his 8 year tenure. I love him now. I believe he ranks with President Reagan as one of the best presidents in American history.

God bless him!

Class. Some Presidents have it, & some wouldn’t even buy it if it was for sale.
