Purportedly Mark Twain wrote he had never seen a colder winter than summer in San Francisco.
I live on the San Francisco Peninsula a few miles south of the city. It's slightly above 55 right now. All day long my roof has been soaking up the sun and it's now penetrated to the house, so indoors it's 72. If I followed code when I renovated I'd have to have a heater on somewhere.
OTOH, I'm in short sleeves and sleep with the windows open.
Mark Twain was right. I lived in San Francisco for twelve years, escaping 3 years ago with some of my brain and soul still intact.
I lived near the coast & Golden Gate Park.
During the 3 months of winter, I was buried in cold wet fog.
During the 3 months of summer, I was buried in cold wet fog.
I hate cold wet fog.
