based on what I've heard his spending habits are, he'd play Afghanistan for the right price.

Money talks- BS walks.

Perhaps Mr. John, or Leach, or whatever his real name is, has taken the ‘just shut up and sing’ approach. I respect him for that.

“John is married to his longtime partner David Furnish”

Rush said that is a flat out lie.

He seems to take to heart the idea of Shut Up and Sing. He’s and entertainer, and he knows that people of all political views are his fans.

"Let's face it: I still play in California, and as a gay man I have no legal rights whatsoever."

Some readers might be confused and alarmed, thinking that California denies gays the right to trial by jury, peaceable assembly or security in their houses and effects from search. Rest assured this is not the case. "No legal rights whatsoever" is just a figure of speech meaning "exactly the same legal rights as everyone else, without exception."

You were making so much sense for a while, Elton, and then you go and say this. You have the right to free speech in California. Similarly you have freedom of the press, the right to pray as you choose, the right to not be forced to testify against youself and many, many other rights. You just don't have the right to "marry" another man. That is a far cry from "no legal rights whatsoever".

“Limbaugh is vehemently anti-gay marriage”

I have never really heard Rush talk about this issue so I don’t know where the “vehemently” comes from.

I think Rush knows he doesn’t have much room to talk about the sanctity of marriage...

Surprising. He’s the last one earth I’d expect to support (or even to tolerate) the new law.

Sir Elton knows that Conservatives buy ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ also.

Rush is vehemently gay marriage? Odd, I’ve never heard him mention it... maybe he has but I missed it.

As a matter of fact Elton John is not in favor of it either. He says a legal document works just fine.

Why shoot the messenger, people? Arizona needs all the help it can get.

Entertainers who do these boycotts may regret it in the end. They may find themselves unwelcome in many places, not just Arizona, for a very long time.

They are “Dixie Chicking” themselves - forever.

Personally, I “turn the channel” when I see some of these jerks. It is hard to appreciate an entertainer when you know they are part of what is wrong with America. Their politics ruins their art.
