Surprising. He’s the last one earth I’d expect to support (or even to tolerate) the new law.

Sir Elton knows that Conservatives buy ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ also.

RE: “John is married to his longtime partner David Furnish”

Rush said that is a flat out lie.

I believe they are not MARRIED but had a CIVIL CEREMONY formalizing their “partnership”. They did not call it a wedding but a “civil partnership”.

Elton John paid his first ever visit to my town. I boycotted him.

Thanks for proving me right about you.

Yeah, man, you ever hear “2112” played backwards? That’s some freaky-ass stuff!

Oops, wrong Rush. ;)

Rush is vehemently gay marriage? Odd, I’ve never heard him mention it... maybe he has but I missed it.

As a matter of fact Elton John is not in favor of it either. He says a legal document works just fine.

I think what Great Britian has is domestic partnership and that is what they have.It is our media who have seized on the word marriage.

if elton’s male mate, transexualizes, wouldn’t that solve his marriage problems...

will he still be gay.

will he still be able to sing.

enquiring minds want to know.

““John is married to his longtime partner David Furnish”

Rush said that is a flat out lie.”

So does Wikipedia...

“He met his Canadian-born partner David Furnish, a former advertising executive and now film maker, in 1993. On 21 December 2005, they entered into a civil partnership.”

In fact Elton John himself is not in favor of gay marriage. Here’s what he has said on the subject:

““What is wrong with Proposition 8 is that they went for marriage. Marriage is going to put a lot of people off, the word marriage… I don’t want to be married. I’m very happy with a civil partnership. If gay people want to get married, or get together, they should have a civil partnership… You get the same equal rights that we do when we have a civil partnership. Heterosexual people get married. We can have civil partnerships.” – Elton John

I agree, but then, he's seen what immigration has wrought in old Blighty.

"Someone Saved My Life Tonight” is one of the best songs ever.

I agree. Elton John has come out with some beautiful songs over his career - this is one of them.
