Walter Edmund Bond was taken into custody Thursday in Denver after allegedly telling an informant that he started the Glendale fire and two fires in Utah because they were businesses that "profited from animals."
At the time of his arrest by FBI and ATF agents, Bond was carrying a backpack, according to an affidavit by Rennie Mora, a special agent for the ATF.
Agents searched the backpack and found literature titled, "The Declaration of War - Killing People to Save the Animals and the Environment - Strike a Match Light a Fuse We've Only Have the Earth to Lose."
Bond is a member of the Animal Liberation Movement who went by the name "Lone Wolf."

Federal investigators said a criminal background check on Bond showed he was arrested and later convicted of a 1997 arson fire in Mason City, Iowa, and that Bond has a prominent tattoo on his neck just below his chin that reads, "VEGAN."
Investigators said they learned that on June 5, the Leather Factory in Salt Lake City was destroyed by an arson fire. In addition, they learned that on July 2, The Tiburon Restaurant in Sandy, Utah, which serves foie gras, was hit by an arson fire.

And I couldn’t figure out why he was wearing sheepskin to start a fire.

Bond allegedly said that after he set the fire, he watched it burn and saw the fire trucks responding.
He gets his jollies from the fire, the ALF thing could be an excuse. At least he'll do some hard time.
I bought my sheep skin car seatcovers and a skeep skin for my dog’s bed from them.
The cops should do more videos of the crowds at the AR fires. I bet many perps hang around to watch.
Also building owners should put up more cameras to catch the perps starting fires.

Yes they do, especially the true arsonist. Fire personnel should be and many times are trained to watch for them.
