Agent Robert "Rosas, 30, was shot four times in the head, once in the neck and three times in the torso. He was found near Campo in eastern San Diego County, without a pulse. His Border Patrol-issued gun was missing."
"Christian Daniel Castro Alvarez admitted entering the United States illegally to rob a Border Patrol agent, the U.S. attorney's office said. Alvarez said he lured Rosas out of his car on the night of July 23 and struggled with him over a firearm."
Christian Daniel Castro Alvarez was sentenced to 40 years in prison. Two illegal border crossers who participated in the killing are still at large.

Mexican national arraigned in Bridgeton beating death

Bridgeton police charged Escudero and his alleged co-conspirators, Jorge Benitez-Aguilar, 24, and Jorge Rios, 32, with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose on June 11.
Police have identified all three men as illegal immigrants from Mexico.
