The latest Rasmussen Reports poll shows Gov. Rick Perry leading Democrat Bill White 50 percent to 41 percent.

In match-ups since February, Perry’s support has remained in the tight range of 47% to 51%. White has earned 38% to 44% of the vote in that same period. The two men ran closest in April when Perry held a narrow four-point lead, 48% to 44%.

Agree. I'm tired of him too, but compared to white, no contest. I wish we were voting for a Texas governor who would stand up for Texas against the Feds, and be fully prepared to escalate until the Feds give up or give in. I'd like to have a governor who would be willing to just plug the border ourselves - land mines are not that expensive. Put our own Guard on the border and stop the flow and not ask for permission. A governor who says Texas is not participating with DeathCare and mean it and make it so.... But, it's Perry vs White and White is a sanctuary, marxist leaning, gay loving, RAT and that is not a hard choice.

I agree with you. At least Perry made some veiled threats about invoking states rights but I don’t think he really means it.
