Should "Tea Party" sue NAACP for Defamation over false racism charge?
vanity | July 13, 2010 | steelers6

I don't know if the individual organization can do it, or whether they can do it as a class action. Obviously press releases aren't going to do much good.

But suing them for millions of dollars for trying to destroy political free speech and defaming their organization with a baseless charge to try to damage it is worth trying.

They should, but then they would have to introduce an official organizational chain, and that would mean naming people that were “in charge”. That is the beauty of TTP, everyone is in charge.

Proof for the charges, assertions, and claims of alleged Tea Party racism or displayed racist tendencies are where? No where. If I had loads of money, you bet I would, despite the success or failure rate of bringing such a suit.

Too late... Most everyone already knows that NAACP is partial to the blacks (racist) and don’t really care about what the Tea Party stands for...so why bother. They are going to be against them regardless of what they say or do - after all, they are way too conservative for the NAACP.

The bottom line, is just ignore them and let the rants continue... They are no longer believed anyway...

Also supply the footage of the Black Panthers with their inflammatory language and intimidation to WHITE voters. Highlight the outrageous hypocrisy. Get them on SLANDER and HYPOCRISY that never ceases.

No, but they ought to demand that each of the officers of the NAALCP renounce racism and that means to stop judging every person and every issue through the prism of skin color, rather than the content of each person's character!!!

Otherwise, we should simply rescind the national holliday that honors their fearless leader... Martin Luther King, Jr. and stop all the pretense that we're in some kind of "post racial" era in the United States. An apology for the verbage and actions of the "new black panthers" falls far short of what's badly needed from the NAALCP!!!

The law disfavors suits based on group defamation where, as here, the group defamed is large and a specific individual cannot be identified as the intended target.

Make a declaration that as far as the NACCCP statement goes, it is a question of “mind over matter”. Most good Americans need not mind such a statement because the NACCCP does not matter..

Ignore them.. EXCEPT multiple video every move they make with sound.. talk to them if they show up at Tea Parties..

Would be a good idea for a Tea Party clearing house where video can be sent and archived.. They have a tendency to posture brag RAP and strut.. like Nazis..

When the enemy is making a fool of himself, stand back, and let him finish the job.

I consider name calling a compliment, I am doing the right thing, and they don't have an argument.

I would like to see the NAACP cast its discernment on other groups. The Boy Scouts? Planned Parenthood? Which of our nation's local school boards? Which corporations? The NRA?

No, but Tea Party members or groups should put ads on tv and the internet mocking them. The NAALCP is too irrelevant to be treated like a serious organization. Rush does it and it drives them nuts.
