Do you REALLY think that Sarah will allow the RNC to muzzle her? If she were selected for the job and took it, it sould be because they wanted more of Sarah in the party and to get more Sarah, she will speak up.

The problem is she speaks for many Independents (Tea Party) and SOME republicans right now. If she went to the RNC, then being “totally aligned” she’d lose momentum with the Independents ... looking like she was “throwing in” with the problem RINOs that are running it. IMHO.

Yeah, I changed my mind on Steele. I say give him a chance.

O.K. Well, welcome aboard. Shuffleboard at 2, martinis at 4, the big dance tonight at 9.

I'm so sick of reading about the push for Sarah to be RNC chair. Ninety-nine percent of folks have no idea what this job is.

It's administrative, fund raising, constant traveling, soothing fights between Republicans on every elective level, being hounded by the media almost every working hour, perpetually on the phone, away from the family and about a hundred other negatives.

It's also being a spokesperson for the party.....how much the chair wants to get into this is up to him or her. Steele loves to do the speaking circuit, be on TV and be noticed. This is okay, Haley Barbor was on TV almost every Sunday morning. But Haley knew his onions and was a great talker, but Steel unfortunately has hoof-in-mouth disease.

Other past chairs have preferred to be low key, to stay out of the spotlight and just do the vital grunt work needed to raise money and win elections. This is okay, too.

Sarah Palin is too valuable a resource to do this administrative work. She must NOT be pinned down in any way. She must be free to be Sarah.

Besides, whatever the chair does is bound to create enemies in high and local places...you help a RINO in a liberal district and the conservatives hate you....and vice versa. Why should she take on a job like this! Why marginalize her in ANY way?

The good folks pushing this dumb petition idea have to look beyond what they're pushing. They are politically naive. Political organization and promotion is a hard task requiring certain abilities suited to this work.

Romanticizing the job of RNC chair into something it's not and 15 cents will not get you a cup of weak coffee at your local Mobil gas station jiffy service store.

I'm not supporting this petition, contrary to popular belief, and I agree with you that Sarah would be much better seperated from this position!

Hey, Palin/? in 2012!

The true liberals are the ones who want to bust the budget through policing the world. It was Wilson, FDR, and Truman who were the first to police the world NOT conservatives.
