If it continues and is not stopped, in 50 years Dallas, Houston, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Tuscon etc....all these great cities founded by Anglos will have been taken over politically by Mexicans and will ALL look like Tijuana.
Our political systems will have been infected with the same institutionalized corruption that has dominated Mexico for the last 100 years. ‘La Mordida’ or the “bite” Bribe will be the chief way to get anything you want politically.
I think, sadly, its in the DNA of the Mexican way of doing things.
They will have to learn to do with what falls from the sky!

It's not until the last quarter of the Century that you encounter the Pequod War and the war against the Cherokee in the South. The Indians lost and decided to assimilate, with the Cherokee doing a pretty good job of it.
Exactly so, there should be a citizen track working to full U.S. citizenship and benefits and a track for temporary workers who must more than pay their own way and and remain employed no legalized children.

Sure, I’m ALL for that. I assume you mean they can apply to immigrate here AFTER they have returned voluntarily to Mexico or by forced deportation.
That is what you mean isn’t it? After all, we have always had a program for people to come here. It’s called “apply to immigrate to the United States.”
Under my plan the voluntary returners get their applications moved to the top. The “others” get an all expenses paid vacation on the US side of the border helping to build the fence that they will be shoved through when done. That’s a strong “incentive” to join the voluntary returners. The apps of the “fence assistants” will also have an “uncertain” outcome.
I was thinking along similar lines before coming to your post, orinoco.
My thoughts were tending toward wondering what they thought they would do with it, once they “got it”? Shove the gringos out? And then what?....
