Regardless of your opinion on immigration, we can all agree it’s a disappointment when finances prevent an intelligent person from obtaining an education. And 17-year-old Gladys Castro of Fontana, California, is intelligent: the senior has a 4.09 average at Kaiser High School, where she took Advanced Placement classes, led the Advanced Biology Club and was a member of the National Honor Society.
And I disagree with any plan to spend more money on illegals, regardless of sentiment or nobility of purpose.
so sorry, she is still illegal. she has a home country that she prides herself with mexico should pride themselves, but they do not.
She would be a wonderful asset to her native country. Deport her now.
This is like the sob stories about sick people that lose their job and health coverage.
The big picture is this country has 12-20 million parasites in it and it would boost employment if Americans would do just half their jobs. We need a mass deportation like under Eisenhower.

And because she is a Latino, she will get a scholarship to a good school. Displacing a kid with hard working honest parents. Her parents are criminals and she is smart enough to know that she is in deep trouble.
These stories would not be out there if we were enforcing our immigration laws. Plus..those poor hardworking citizen parents would not be paying as high taxes and extra expenses of the illegals. Send the whole family home.

Now deport her and her family and let them reenter through normal channels.

Just noting that a 4.09 GPA is basically making an avearge of 102.45% on all tests.

Another plea for the DREAM Act.
If the rational for illegal immigration is justified because this young girl is gifted, then Barney Frank is going straight. Illegal immigration costs American taxpayers over $100 billion a year and drains our medical resources. This sounds like some liberal guilt-fest trying to justify that America needs to support the world while taking the wealth away from the middle class to pay for it.
I’m sure she will be an outstanding student at the University of Guadalajara.
The tax payers of the United States have (involantarily) provided here with an primary and secondary education that far exceeds what she would have recieved at home in Mexico.
They don’t have any colleges in Mexico?
