Here is just one example of how Andrew Sullivan propped up Levi Johnston as the obvious truth-teller within the extended Palin clan. Out of all of them only Levi deserved to be taken seriously. According to Andy, Johnston was the real rogue of 2009.
... His story deserves to be taken more seriously as a real account of what Palin really is. Until Wallace and Schmidt screw their courage to the sticking place, he's the best we've got.
Johnston's account for the reasons for Palin's bizarre resignation are also more convincing than Palin's classic insistence that she was quitting....
Now, comes today the story of Levi Johnston's apology to the Palins and his admission of distorting the facts. Careful, Levi, Andy may begin investigating your birth to prove that you were not born of your real family and, in fact, are a dirty bastard! Oh well, it isn't as if Andy doesn't get off on taking one in the chute from time to time. But did you have to break it off, Levi?? Heh!
Levi Johnston isn't just getting past his differences with Bristol Palin – he's also hoping to make amends with her famous mom.
"Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true," he tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize."

That’s an unfortunate if not intentional headline, given Sullivan’s known “proclivities”.
I respect Sullivan just about as much as I respect the Obamaloon (aka Loon-O-dent, OZero, etc. etc)

Well, few have done more to deserve such treatment as Andrew Sullivan, whose paranoia about religious traditionalists led him to libel and slander decent people who had never done or said anything against him.
My guess is that Andy will take “24 business hours” to respond.

I think you have nailed it. Levi has just about run the cash train dry on his own. He has limited prospects for future earnings and a child support decree based on a one time wind fall.
The Palins should realize that he is gold digging for Bristol’s potential long term earnings and to shed himself from the support obligations.
After he has grifted as much as he can from Bristol, he’ll file for a divorce and rid himself of the support based on his negligible earnings and probably GET support from Bristol.
Levi is low rent white trailer trash. You can’t change change that. It is imprinted in his DNA.
Still can’t figure out why queers (on both sides of the aisle) hate Ms. Palin so much...
Actually Palin has a gay following. Hillbuzz.org or com is run by gay men who used to love Hillary and now they love Palin. They hate Obama.
What I appreciate about Sarah is that while he was lying about her, and her supporters were suggesting he should be drawn and quartered and sent to hell, she would not brutally attack him, choosing instead a more gentle and loving approach.
And now that has paid off, apparently.
