Where 'nice' Obama has got us -- Mark Steyn
McCleans, Candad ^ | Mark Steyn

Posted on 07/03/2010 11:49:20 AM PDT by SmartInsight

Why would Ahmadinejad take him seriously when even Karzai flips him the finger?

"When people see a strong horse and a weak horse," said Osama bin Laden many years ago, "by nature they will like the strong horse." The world does not see President Obama as the strong horse.

The new President wished to reposition his nation by forswearing American power: he thought that made him the nice horse; everyone else looked on it as a self-gelding operation -- or, as last week's U.S. News & World Report headlined it, "World sees Obama as incompetent and amateur."

If the Taliban return to even partial power in Afghanistan, the unctuous State Department spokesmen will make the best of it. But the symbolism will be profound, and devastating in what it says about American will.

He is one of them. Maybe if McChrystal was not out running marathons he might have figured that out. McChrystal is an idiot and the one is no idiot.

Obama has been nice to our enemies, mean to our friends, and downright nasty to the American people.

Mark Steyn; a chainsaw on a large block of ice, while others chip away to make something, Mark shreds it, when done it’s a work of art.

Who is this Taliban Steyn speaks of? I wonder if perhaps he means the “Tollybahn”?

As with liberals just look at their position on gun ownership: No guns = no crime (and forget about the 2nd amendment rights).

The similar false logic applies with 0Bummer whereby weakness = strength (!!!) since you should be displaying MORAL STRENGTH by deliberately waging war lesser armed to give your enemy an equal footing to you!!

Not only is this stupid to the highest degree but this is one of the main Communist lies propagated through the 1960's till now and a lot of politicians has swallowed that turd laden lie!!

However with 0Bummer its not a case of him being misled by the lie but rather exploiting others being deceived and widening the gap to totally disarm America and the West in order to facilitate our destruction within a short time.

Exactly. Some people think he is “just naive”, but nobody is that naive. This is all deliberate, as you say.

Nature always solve the problem of weakness.

Of course, the solution never favors the weak.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Has anyone else notice that Obama is hanging a curtain on a window that has an EXIT sign above it?

There is a GREAT comment from a reader below the Steyn article:

“The fact that he’s copying the predecessor whom he criticizes at every turn, and doing so with a tactic his party refused to support even when it was already in place, sends the distinct message that Obama doesn’t really know what he’s doing.”

“It’s a foray into unfamiliar tactics for Obama: doubling down with military force rather than trying to win people over with speeches and political maneuvering. The fact that the rest of his foreign policy is all words and little else reinforces this impression. Thuggish regimes like Ahmadinejad’s don’t respond to sunshine and daisies, but the American people made their choice when they elected Obama. Now we must all live with the consequences that will follow”…….Gaunlion
