WASHINGTON: Barack Obama has been ranked as the 15th best president of the United States, two ranks below Bill Clinton in a new poll which is topped by Franklin D Roosevelt.
The fact that a liberal survey ranks Obama’s transformative presidency so low is certainly a signal that the bloom is off the rose at least with many liberals in academia.
I would have guessed that a group of academics would have made him a “near great” at about #5 or #6.
I stopped reading at Siena institute......
once Cap and Trade and Amnesty are passed that should put him in the top 5 easily...
The fact that they put Roosevelt at #1 tells me all I need to know about that.
As much as any living politician, he is responsible for the mess we are in today.

Agree 100%. FDR was another socialist who didn't let a crisis go to waste. We got Social Insecurity and a whole host of Keynesian "stimulus" crap. IMO he started the whole welfare mentality in the US...the beginning of the end.

Let’s just for a minute say there hasn’t been all the failures and c-ups ... how can the man possibly have his presidency rated, judged when we’re just 18 months into the thing?? How do they justify comparing him to presidents who finished their term in office?
FDR and socialism go hand and hand BUT it could be argued that the BIG LIE of LBJ and Presidents since are much more important than the socialism of FDR.
Consider that to get their RADICAL Communist (socialism? we passed that decades ago) agenda we have to have “officials” who can look you straight into your eyes and LIE, LIE and TELL MORE LIES.
I just heard on the radio about RECOVERY. Nobody is really stupid enough to believe RECOVERY, are they? SO HOW do they tell huge lies and know they will get away with it? The answer comes from a few decades ago, from the master liars.
In 1963 a VP was about to go to jail for murder and corruption beyond belief. Elm Street was his way out along with the master cross dressing pervert. Yes, LBJ and Hoover pulled off the biggest lie in history and even today fools will argue it couldn’t have happened.
When Bill Clinton heard about a terrorist attack in American before the 1995 election, he said “I hope it’s NOT middle Eastern Terrorism.” Well it was but by proclamation Clinton set up 9/11 by hiding the truth. His re-election was much more important than citizen’s lives.
Clinton, LBJ, and Obama belong in the trash heap of Presidential trash. Instead, fools believe they were Presidents who got stuff done.
LBJ and Hoover set up the BIG LIE in America and even today they think they can tell any lie, the press is easy to fool and America believes the press.
