HERMOSILLO, Mexico — A massive gun battle between rival drug and migrant-trafficking gangs near the U.S. border left 21 people dead on Thursday, prosecutors said.
The clash occurred in a sparsely populated area about 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the Arizona border — a prime corridor for immigrant and drug smuggling.

This may be a stupid question, but what exactly does immigration reform have to do with securing the border? We say secure the border, the leftists say immigration reform. It doesn’t even make sense. We have a process for immigrating to this country. What exactly do we need to reform? The only issue that needs fixing is the damn borders! Why is that so freaking hard for them to understand!?!?

The only problem is the Mexican's reproduce like ants....The 21 that died in the shootout, probably have 125 babies in the mix.
I find this story bogus. Big Sis told us the border was as safe as it ever has been. Besides, its illegal to own firearms in Mexico.

It has nothing to do with securing the border.
Obama, like Dubya before him, has no intention of enforcing the immigration laws that he has sworn to obey. Both want/wanted amnesty for illegals, and both refuse to do what the law requires them to do, which is to deport illegals back to their home countries no matter how long they have been here illegally. So both hide behind the excuse of needing “comprehensive immigration reform” (amnesty) as if they can’t do their job without amnesty.
And both want it for political reasons. Bush/Rove thought once immigration was done, Hispanics would fall in line with the GOP and provide the growing numbers to offset the ongoing decline in the white vote and keep the GOP in power by locking down states like CO, NV, NM, AZ, FL for the future.
Obama knows that if he gives them amnesty, that’s another 12M votes for the Dems and it will be virtually impossible for them ever to lose another election with that extra margin added. Sad, but true. If another 12M hispanics join the voter roles, the GOP will never hold the WH again. Likley never hold the Congress, either.
If all these illegals were conservatives who were going to vote GOP Obama wouldn’t be saying a thing about them and he and the dems would have likely sent them all back to Mexico by now.
