Why Obama's Immigration Speech Was a Failure
the daily beast ^ | 7/1/10 | Tunku Varadarajan Info

Posted on 07/01/2010 4:16:33 PM PDT by Nachum

The president stepped up Thursday to update his campaign promise of immigration reform. But Tunku Varadarajan says his words were banal, completely conventional, and full of empty rhetoric.

When a president recites Emma Lazarus in a speech on immigration—and recites not merely a fragment or two but virtually the entire length of "the New Colossus"—one is inclined to conclude that his speech was written by someone who has just graduated from high school and has a young head brimming with social studies.

It’s because the speech was a rambling, directionless steaming pile of sh!t. What else do you expect from the squatter-in-chief?

Bring home the military from Germany and elsewhere and defend our borders . Simple . If Obama won’t do it he oughta resign or be impeached .

It doesn’t matter if the speech succeeded or failed. The Kenyan Kommie is just going through the motions and will do whatever the hell he wants to, the opinion of the people be damned.

I’m not sure about amnesty improving the Baraqqi vote.
I suspect in a lot of states they’re voting already, along with getting food stamps, school lunch, housing chits, and reduced rates on utilities.

To consevatives all Barry’s speeches are failures.

But what should worry Barry is that his speeches are no longer sending tingles up Chwissy Mathew’s leg or causing discernible drool from head MSM cheerleader Keefy Oblerdorque.

I keep wondering why some conservative does not do a political commercial detailing the number of deaths caused by illegals?
Drunk drivers, robbery, rape, homicide, these numbers all lay at the feet of our horrible commander in thief or a er ah dear reader.
To quote the imbecile,”Let me be perfectly clear” the border is too big, too vast to secure. You don’t need blood or birth to be an American, anybody can be. Come one come all. No need to work, that’s what the stupid honkeys are here for.
They work, they pay, but they are racists so they should.....
I expect this speech from the retard any day now.

Some may ask “Where is the birth certificate?”. I question if he ever received a high school diploma.

He has a point, though, in that a lot of BO’s stuff sounds like it was written by a committee made up of high school civics students. He never misses the chance to include the banal and the cliched. But the worst of it is, a lot of what he says is weasel words, misleading, and misdirecting. He deliberately clouds his intent and his motives. I think they let the interns write the speeches, and then the agit-prop people add the distortions.

Because the RINO's are afraid of losing a voting block.. (the illegals). We need politicians that are willing to say what is right,, and what is wrong,,, unfortunately,,, More and more of the voters are plain STUPID!!!

I think we need a voters license.....just like a drivers license.... to protect us from dangerous voters!!!!

Oh, he received a high school diploma all right.

He just didn't earn it. Or his college degree. Or his law degree. Or his seat in the Senate. Or the Presidency.

This little man has been socially promoted his entire life, up to and including his current position.

Of course, it hurts him in the end, because his native abilities (whatever they may be) were never developed. Of course, it hurts us all too.

For many reasons. First, we have to show that the illegals are involved in much higher proportion than the legal or the citizens. To do so, we need to have a good estimate of number of illegals--which we don't have. Using high estimate of illegal population will result in lower crime rates. Second, which to me is much more important, doing so would lead to the notion "So, if they are not involved in those crimes or deaths, there is no problem?" Of course there is! IMO, we should argue on the fact that being an illegal in the US is in itself already bad enough. Third, such ads might backfire because it can easily be twisted to a racial issue.

Sounds like a great plan to me. Why should we continue to subsidize protection for other countries?
