I would also suggest that even if psychopaths do not have the emotional capacity to realise right from wrong, their often above average intellegence should allow them to intellectually understand what is and isn’t acceptable. I’m sure psychopaths know that murder is wrong and punishable in law on an intellectual level, and the nature of psychopaths supports the idea of deterrence. Not all psychopaths are murderers or even violent. Most psychopaths are intellectually capable of understanding that murdering people will have dire consequences for them if they are caught, and the idea of the death penalty will no doubt make many of them think twice about killing people, if for no other reason than simple self interest and self preservation....
I also think its quite offensive to punish those who have a conscience and are capable of feeling remorse more harshly than those who do not and can’t.
I’m not saying they should be tortured to death, just killed quickly and justly by having him hanged by a worthy successor to Mr Pierrepoint with a measured drop from a gallows adjacent to the condemned cell. Send the hangman and his assistant into the death cell and have the prisoner dead and dangling from a rope within 20 seconds or less of the door to the condemned suite being unlocked. Job done...
Exactly! This shows that they can’t be fixed and are a huge danger to society if they ever escaped so the death penalty is the only way to make sure that never happens.
1. The Bible does not give us exceptions for crimes. If someone deliberately kills someone not in self-defense, they get the death penalty. No exceptions. If God does not give an excuse for brain shape or whatever, why should we?
2. Perhaps the brain abnormalities are the result of years of wicked behavior, rather than the cause of wicked behavior.
I am not a psychologists and I have no formal training in psychology or medicine. I long ago (I lived thru WWII.) developed a theory that certain persons by their actions have removed themselves from the human race. They are less than the equivalent of sharks, and consequently could be killed as required to protect others. Unfortunately, these beings generally looks exactly like a normal person.

Lie #1. They often claim that the intent was to rob, but the robbery is just a rationalization for what they really intended to do, which is usually to rape, torture and kill.
They're not there for the money.
How do we know that committing evil didn’t change his brain?
My grand dad called them Goblins.
Do any homeschooling parents teach psychology? If so, they might find this article to be informative.
The thing that blocks it is probably the demons the guy is carrying around with him.
I don't excuse him for a minute with the blame shifting *the devil made me do it* routine, but I can't help but wonder what role the spiritual influences them.
It's natural and normal to feel remorse when you hurt someone. If you don't there's something seriously wrong.
I also believe that you can see it in their eyes. If you look at the pictures of convicts on the threads where someone killed someone else, their eyes usually have that dead look. Very creepy.

Their eyes do look dead. The thing is that these people are extremely dangerous. Whether we believe that they are that way because of some kind of brain condition, because they are possessed, because of abusive parents, or because they are evil, the fact remains the same; they are not fit to be free to prey upon others.
Punishment should be decided based on justice towards the victims and to protect society from future victims.
Exactly. The cause is really irrelevant.
For the protection of society, they need to be executed.
