You read what I typed, and nowhere in there did I call you a bigot.

What I said and am saying is, any FR thread about Jews in the US (and sometimes, threads that are just about Israel) nearly invariably and usually immediately contain a nonsequitur statement claiming this or that large percentage of American Jews voted for Obama. There is no reason to state this, except as a crude tool to blame and bash Jews. Period. This isn't a new phenomenon, it's found in such threads going back prior to the 2004 election.

Most American Jews usually vote for the Democratic Presidential candidate. It is not news. They do so because so many are social liberals. This is also not news.

Obama isn't even a little bit Jewish, and had perhaps a slightly higher share of the votes of American Jews along with a nice fat percentage of most US demographic groups including women, white folks, and psychos who wanted him elected because they think it will usher in a presidency of another Ronald Reagan.

Even in NY state, the Jewish population is only about eight and a half percent of the total, 1.6 million Jews, and Obama took NY state and its Electoral votes by 2.1 million popular votes. Even if every Jew (including those too young to vote) in NY state had voted for McCain, it wouldn't have swung NY or the nation in 2008. And that's the best case scenario.

State Electors Obama McCain Nader Barr Baldwin McKinney Others

Once again, you are citing raw numbers and ignoring the extraordinary influence of the Jewish professional class, especially in law, education and the media. There is nothing to be gained in straddling the fence by identifying with those who are ardent liberals/Democrats, any more than I should identify with the knee-jerk Irish Catholic Democrats because my people are Irish. I’m a conservative, so what do they have to do with me? Nothing, insofar as voting is concerned. Same with you and those Jews who choose to vote Democrat. Why go on the defensive?
