be the Republican nominee for Presient in 2012, mark my words.

God Help Us All, if that happens.

It depends on the internals (who was polled, how the polling was conducted, etc). Far too often Dems are overpolled, as well as people who don’t vote.

Mayor White has been a total disaster in our city. We are still dealing with the Katrina overflow. Streets are full of pot holes he has “plugged” for years. Schools and budgets are a disaster. Typical Democrat catering to city pensions and Unions. Also involved in the following.

"Rick Perry is as close to a John Edwards as you'll find in the Republican Party."

And he's an Aggie to boot. ; )

Conservatives in Texas are not very enthusiastic about Perry. Once Medina showed herself to have such poor judgment (refusing to denounce the truthers on her staff) Perry was the lesser of two evils. Perry is a big proponent of the Trans Texas Corridor (taking private land to give to private companies to operate toll roads), he tried to force all school age girls to take gardisil (the HPV vaccine only useful if you are sexually active), and Texas government reach has steadily increased under his leadership. Essentially, he is John McCain with better hair. I will hold my nose and vote for him, but I certainly won’t support him in any other way.

That would almost be enough to make me vote for the kenyan.

Reminds me of the line from Dilbert, “He’s got executive hair, we think it will turn silver.”

Yes, it IS a push poll.

Asks about whether you support for Rick Perry for President in 2012 but it does not ask about Bill White for Senator in 2012 and White has already announced that scampaign.

You should know that it's no longer considered politically correct to refer to persons from College Station as "Aggies."

The acceptable term of address is now "Agro-American."

Little Ricky better gert in the game and lay out some SB1070 legislation proposals. Time for him to get a STATE OF TEXAS border operation going. Don’t even try to think the border is not subject to State LEO enforcement activities. When I was DoO for the Texas Minutemen border watch ops we saw Sheriffs Dep. at the border hunting dope smugglers virtually every night. Plus, little Ricky can correctly state the reason for doing so are the statements made (and not made!) by Mexican President Felipe Calderon.

HEY RICKY, ARE YOU LISTENING?

Time to get your butt in gear, the commie has caught up with YOU.

Yes, he announced his run for the Senate before he announced his run for governor. This campaign is just advance campaigning for 2012. To get his name out there before the voters. His website had both campaigns on it at one time, I don’t know if it still is.

White needs to be asked about this in interviews and at a debate.

Hutchinson has said that she will step down although she isn’t stepping down as soon as some had expected. At least the GOP will be able to venture a candidate through a normal primary vs. special election. Lt. Governor Dewhurst has expressed an interest in running.

There are some theories that Dan Patrick may run for it if Dewhurst doesn’t.

The commie didn’t catch up, Perry slipped. Bill White just remained where he was in this race (no bump in support).

Honestly, I think Rick Perry is in trouble.

Why people thought he was a strong candidate is a mystery to me. He won his last term with 39% of the vote. He was opposed by the unknown Chris Bell, some nut bag named “Grandma” and a humorist / entertainer named “Kinky”.

Now people act surprised when a strong Dem with a decent record is making a strong showing. Bill White is no slouch, and he’ll get a good deal of the Houston vote - not just minorities.

I’m sick of Perry. If White wins it won’t be any big deal. Being Governor in Texas is not an extremely strong executive role. Much of the real power lies with the Lt. Gov.; and while David Dewhurst is a bit “metro” - he’s done a fairly good job.

With a conservative legislature and Lt. Gov.; Bill White can do little except dismantle some of the crony-ism that Perry has established - I’m not at all sure that’s a bad thing.

Texas is doing just fine without putting a Democrat in as governor.

Never underestimate the damage a Democrat can do.
