Why do we jeer MSNBC when they twist a quote, and cheer when "our guys" do it?
(And....he's absolutely correct! There is no single model!)
I started to point out that very same thing, as well as the idea that we are suppose to be a republic.
But then I considered the quote I did comment on, because too many problems over the last 200 years have had the words “a French politician” associated with them...
Democracy does not come in models. What I took Putin to mean is he would have his own model of democracy, like Chavez does. Democracy is not durable, and has a very short time to turn to tyranny.
Tyranny comes in models, degrees of lies.
