PALMVIEW — Police found a "laundry list" of drugs — from black tar heroin to ecstasy pills shaped like President Obama and Homer Simpson — during a traffic stop Monday morning.
The drug bust came after officers received a call of a reckless driver about 10:15 a.m. Monday, said Palmview Police Lt. Lenny Sanchez.
A patrol officer caught up with the driver near Minnesota Road and East Expressway 83 frontage road and received consent to search Mario Guadalupe Saenz's vehicle.
Inside, police found about 200 ecstasy pills and several Xanax pills, a prescription anti-anxiety drug.
The ecstasy pills came in several shapes and colors, including stars and "little characters" like Barack Obama and Homer Simpson, police said.
The pills resemble children's vitamins — a concern to police, Sanchez said.
"(Kids) see these colorful pills and they might think they are vitamins," he said. "In reality, they are a drug."
Officers also seized several grams of cocaine and black tar heroin, along with more than 9 ounces of marijuana.
Saenz, 22, has remained "tight-lipped" about the wide variety of drugs he had with him and whether they were for sale or personal use, Sanchez said.
Saenz was arraigned on four counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $113,000.
The most serious controlled substance charges carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and an optional $10,000 fine.

OK, it took a moment but now I get it and I’m ROFL.
I locked up a guy with Bart Simpson LSD and a loaded handgun in the Bronx 20 years ago. Bart’s an old staple in drug branding.
Hmmmm... bet the ones shaped like Obama are either meant to be shoved down the throat, or are in suppository form...
They should’a made them with Obama’s head on Bart Simpsons body.
