Soon after Congress returns from the Memorial Day recess, liberal House Democrats and teacher unions will make one last push to pass a $23 billion fund to prevent teacher layoffs.
Democrats are looking to package the fund with war and disaster spending in a supplemental appropriations bill the House will vote on as early as this week.

One word: No.
I wonder why everything dem liberal related is always broke?
I want 23 billion dollars to get middle class jobs back.
Oh wait they already SAID they did that in a slush fund they called stimulus.
Dear Democrats;
You pass a $23 billion fund for teachers, then I reduce my property taxes by the 60% used to fund schools in my area.
I just needed to redistribute what you are redistributing back to the people who need it most.
Respectfully,
Joe Taxpayer
Why? They don't do anything. All they do is consume like all the other government dependents.
I saw a NEA spokesman on FNC 'Your World' (with Cavuto) a week ago or so claim that this money was required to ‘save our children’. I got this picture in my head of teachers unions strapping bomb-packs on the kids backs using them as hostages. Maybe the local governments could cut public sector retiree's pay to keep the ‘teachers’ employed. None of that money goes to help the 'children'.
N O
The LAST thing the teachers unions care about is children.
No only the party of No, but the party of “HELL NO!”
No Child Left Behind
“No Child Left Behind “
” No Child Left Behind Alive “
The money we waste on our public education system is horrendous.
In our town we just voted down a $32,000,000 ($51,000,000 when paid off) bond election to build......guess what...........what does it have to do with education........was it needed.......???????
ANSWER: New ATHLETIC facilities and improvements to others. Not one dollar for education.
We are a town of 22,000 people!
Meanwhile, our infrastructure (streets, sewer and water mains) looks like something in a standard Mexican border town.
Schools need to concentrate in teaching a viable trade or profession, not sports.
This is simply a step toward nationalizing public schools. You know this money will have more strings attached than a loom..
I always said that “No Child Left Behind” means we have to keep ALL the children (except democrats and statists like Bush who send their kids to private schools) behind. Classic socialism class system.
The elite sent their kids to St. Albans at $30,000.00 per year. Our kids get stale Doritos, illiterate teachers, and a copy of Das Kapital.
“The elite sent their kids to St. Albans at $30,000.00 per year. Our kids get stale Doritos, illiterate teachers, and a copy of Das Kapital.”
Close, but there are no copies of Das kapital, just NEA commie propaganda in the lil’ pointy heads of the NEA’s “teachers”.
Let the kids rot! Their parents voted this in, so let them suffer. The spawn of Democrats WILL vote like their parents.
Pray for the Republic - but remember to B.L.O.A.T.!
Go tell it on a mountain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched all the NEW schools go up 2.8 mil for ONE big brick fancy smancy school (complete with a basement jail for in school suspension) and assault write ups for flatulance.
Paid for by us CONTROLLED BY THE FEDS.
Whoever runs for POTUS had best dismantle governemnt control in our schools or we are doomed even if everything else gets semi- cleaned up.
I am TIRED of having my money stolen from me to feed these pigs...enough.
