Central Washington town besieged by gang violence

Royal City, a town with a population less than 2,000, has had its sixth drive-by shooting this year. A 10-year-old boy sleeping in his bed is the latest victim.

Royal City Police Chief Darin Smith says there have been six drive by shootings within city limits this year, that’s as many as all of last year. Chief Smith says the shootings are getting more blatant and are happening in the middle of the day.

Our family was driving through Iowa when we had an accident that required a tow truck to haul our van and travel trailer off the highway. While talking to the tow truck driver back at his place of business, he mentioned the fact that living out in the middle of nowhere is not what it used to be. He said, “We have a lot more crime than we used to.” I asked why that was and he told me that the government has set up programs where they move poor people out to small towns, “and they bring all their crime with them,”

What is so bad about crushing a single gang of illegal Mexicans before more move into the area and more gangs form?

Rural Iowa is overrun with illegals also. The locals think it is grand because they bring with them more state money for the schools, welfare checks, food stamps etc. They have destroyed the wag structure for locals working in light manufacturing, meat packing and ag. The kosher plant was just one example but there are lots of others.

If some one drove by my house and shot at it, I could get off at least a round or two before they drove out of sight. I think I would start my car and drive down the road to see what I could see. Particularly in a small town. Maybe it is just me. I think I would have a chat with the local police chief and county sheriff also.

Democrats don’t like the smaller cities. Because of the large disparity in the population, they can ignore the rest of the state and just watch the towns in the country side burn.
