Barak: Flotilla organizers to blame
Jerusalem Post ^ | 05/31/2010 | Tovah Lazaroff, Yaakov Lappin, and JPost staff

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in a press conference on Monday that while he was sorry for lives lost, the organizers of the Gaza-bound protest flotilla were solely responsible for the outcome of the fatal IDF raid earlier in the day. Fifteen activists were killed and dozens wounded in the violent clashes.

Barak said that the soldiers tried to disperse the activists aboard the ship peacefully but were forced to open fire to protect themselves.

He called the flotilla a provocation, specifically called the IHH, an Islamic aid organization, "extremist supporters of terror."

The defense minister also called on Arab and Palestinian leaders not to let this "provocation by irresponsible people" ruin the progress made in proximity peace talks.

When there is no one at the helm, things tend to break down, there needs to be an Alpha D country on the map, to pop people, otherwise we’re going to get a lot of skirmishes with a President that does nothing.

Israel needs to torpedo the next two ships with North Korean torpedos. If they blame it on Kim Jong Il, he’ll just get PO’d and dare somebody to attack his country.

Anyone else notice that all the peace activist were wearing life preservers?

They were ready & willing to have the ship go down. Remember the dude that showed up at all the photo ops with the same dead kid?

When the mooslimbs lay down their arms there will be peace. When the Jewish people lay down their arms there will be a blood bath.

“Finally, he got something right in a timely manner.”

Defense Minister Ehud Barak...not our slimeball president.

Thinking maybe you read the article as quickly as I did...?

So, Barak is more supportive of Israel than Barack. It is a sad moment in our history.

I find it sad that we even have a President named Barack.

yeah, I had kind of forgotten how bizarre that is until typing it a few moments ago. The fact that we elected a man of his background and origin to this position is frightening, to say the least. Especially, when one considers that we are at war with an enemy in that part of the world. It is like electing a president of Russian origin during the height of the cold war or a German in the 40s. We live in a world turned upside down.

Flotilla organizers to blame, well wouldn’t that be Obama’s terrorist pal, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dorhn, Jodie Evans of Code Pink???????

Mr. President, you have an enemy of freedom executing 46 members of a free nation with a torpedo - that gets lip service. This incident involves a tiny, long term ally of the US, an overwhelmed nation staving off aggression, and you jump on board to condemn. I am ashamed of the official behavior of our country.

I wonder what Ayers is telling Obama to say.

The most cowardly act that our President commits in this regard is persuing his brand of diplomacy without being open and honest about its basis and aims.

(i.e. who’s alliances are no longer cherished, and to whom we will now give tremendous leeway to in hopes of brokering “peace”)

Be a friggin’ man, and lay it out. We aren’t worth that?

As long as most of the bastards left alive, Israel showed restraint — a lot more restraint than it should have, and more than most would have.

Your words are spot on. Search and you'll find that there are words more succinct that these even.

Read the headline WAY too fast. I thought that obama was siding with the Israel.
