LAHORE, Pakistan – Islamist gunmen and a suicide squad lobbed grenades, sprayed bullets from atop a minaret and took hostages Friday in attacks on two mosques packed with worshippers from a minority sect in Pakistan. At least 80 people were killed and dozens wounded.
The strikes — the deadliest against the Ahmadi community — highlight the threat to minority religious groups by the same militants who have repeatedly attacked Pakistan's U.S.-allied government and threatened to destabilize the nuclear-armed nation.

Another oxymoronic example of how Islam does not embrace or endorse violence. Just peacable folks spraying less desireable folks with automatic weapons.

These attacks are highly illustrative of my thesis before.
The Muslims are indeed going through their own equivalent of the Wars of Religion.
Terrorism against the West is a futile way of externalizing their conflict to other peoples. But really, the most important conflicts, the ones underlying their intolerance, are within Islam itself.
This could take a century or even more to resolve.
From what I’ve heard, the minority group attacked was a sect of Muslims who believe that there are other prophets besides Mohammed.
They have a variant interpretation of their faith.
Much as the Protestants did in the early 1500s.
Strange way of celebrating the weekend...
They don’t care who they kill, they just enjoy killing.

It seems mooslims are not “peace-loving”, rather they are “pieces of others” loving.

And if the only people around are other Moslems, those mass-murders and dismemberments count too.
Given Islam is about 700 years behind the rest of the world, there may be hope in the long distant future. But, science and technology are not about to grant us that much time for this Cauldron to cool off.
