This is the kid whose parents put him into show business and then stole his money relentlessly, right? A real tragedy - his co-star Dana Plato is also dead and his other co-star Todd Bridges has had problems with drugs and stabbed a man. Three kids, apparently without one fit parent between them. Show-biz parents are the worst kind of parasites - they prey on their own children.

RIP Gary, you entertained me when I was a child and I will never forget how you made me laugh. Find peace and rest in the arms of the Lord, away from the real-life Gooches that plagued you.

Art Linkletter, Gary Coleman, #3?...

I know this is a popular myth, but honestly, celebrity deaths do not come in threes. A percentage of them die throughout any calendar year, just like the rest of the population. It's just that some of them aren't as prominent or widely reported as others.

Some of the more notable ones who have died so far in 2010 are Art Linkletter, Dorothy Provine, Fess Parker, J.D. Salinger, Jean Simmons, John Forsythe, June Havoc, Kaythryn Grayson, Lena Horne, Lynn Redgrave, Merlin Olsen, Pernell Roberts, Peter Graves, Peter Haskell, Robert Culp and Teddy Pendergrass.

“He had congenital degenerative Kidney disease and had two separate kidney transplants over the years............”

He was luck to live as long as he did through two kidney transplants, any organ transplant is only buying precious time and risky as all get out.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Coleman.

I wasn’t a big fan, but I’m sorry to hear this.

Don’t much like hearing of anyone’s death, but the younger the worse to me.

Prayers for his family. This just makes me sad. He had issues and problems but he was a funny guy and seemed like a kind person.

“Show-biz parents are the worst kind of parasites - they prey on their own children”

Yeah. When I look at Britney Spears, it kind of makes me choke up. Her own mother exploited and sexualized her and just ruined everything. And I hope that witch gets her just deserts in the end.

“This is the kid whose parents put him into show business and then stole his money relentlessly, right?”

They all do that.

I also read he had an autoimmune disease (I did not realize it until today) his whole life, which caused the kidney disease. He was never in good health I guess. Poor guy, but he always had such a good attitude, at least in public. I think he made the best of what he was dealt.
