Obama's admission to Ivy League schools was not about grades or test scores. Even how he paid for attending these schools is suspect. Clearly Obama had help from powerful and wealthy benefactors who were grooming this obscure, academically lackluster, mixed race kid from Hawaii for bigger things.

The question is how Obama got these kind of connections? His mother was a hanger on in radical left and Marxist circles, but unlikely had those kind of connections. Obama senior also had associations with leftist and Marxist groups, but was either not in the USA or deceased when Obama Jr. would have needed them for admission to the Ivy League. Obama's second step father, Sotero, was Indonesian and likely had no connections in the US.

Perhaps Obama's connections are through a real birth father. The suppression of Obama's birth certificate might have nothing to do with his place of birth, but who was named as his father.

Let's remember, while mommy was off burning her bra and whatever other revolutionary tactics she could think of, it was his grandparents that raised him in Hawaii. He likes to portray himself as growing up without a lot of money, but his grandmother was vice president of a bank. Just the fact that they were living in Hawaii tells me they had some money. Being a VP of a bank, I imagine you make connections...

He got them through Frank Marshall Davis, his childhood mentor in Hawaii whom he mentions in "Dreams from my Father". Davis was a good friend of Obama's grandfather.

Davis, before moving to Hawaii, was big in the Chicago Communist Party. It's likely that a recommendation from Davis would have opened doors to the Chicago Radical Left.

But her father may have had them. His roots in the radical community were old and deep -- going back to the time when these associations had to be kept secret.

Good point. Which would explain why hawaii officials support that he was born there. No one is asking those officials who his father is. No one seems to be questioning that.

HIs mother was much more connected than you think — worked for the Ford Foundation, worked with Geitner’s father, knew the Ayres/Dohrn circle.
