I read that a University in Texas has developed a process to turn coal into gas at a cost of about 28 dollars a barrel. assuming the barrel is 55 gallons, that works out close to 50 cents a gallon.

You know back in the 50s & 60s the US said we're going to the moon and we did it. Democrats and Republicans committed to this goal and we got it done. Why does it seem that in the last 20 years EVERYTHING seems too hard and mired in red tape. It seems like in order to do anything in this country you have to jump through a million hoops and pay off armies of faceless bureaucrats. No wonder we as a society are going into the ash heap of history, and this kenyan idiot is doing everything in his power to speed up the process.

i certainly believe that there is sufficient technology now to bring the cost of all energy usage down to pennies for the consumer. Ain’t never going to happen without a dramatic shakeup in our Government.

Right there you hit on the answer. I’ve been trying to get that point across for a long time.

Presidents, Vice Presidents, Senators, and Congress persons, and all their advisors come, and go, but Bureaucrats are forever, and they are the backbone of the government. It is they that play the games, manipulate the temporary elected newbies, and force the direction this country goes.

Those with designs against this Nation have learned who is really the guiding force in our government as the people, the American citizens whom are allegedly in charge are sleeping on the job, too busy with their personal lives to pay attention to government, so while they sleep the players play.
