From what I can tell, the guy prides himself on being twisted. His nickname appears to be Sic Willie.

He either has the evidence or he doesn't. All this gnashing of teeth won't effect that. If he does, she's screwed. If he doesn't, he's screwed. So far what he released seems to be a teaser for what he claims he has to prove the affair, and to set up the timeline and motivation.

My guess is that he's been negotiating the whole time.
