With huge chains and honking cranes, that's how. Example: This Republic of Korea Navy's corvette—half of it, actually—floating over the sea's surface. And before you cry "PHOTOSHOP!", check out the scene from a distance.
It's the Cheonan, a South Korean Pohang-class corvette that broke in two on March 26. According to an international investigation, the cause was a torpedo fired from a North Korean Yeono class miniature submarine, killing 46 crew members. A few weeks later, on April 15, the South Korean Navy recovered the stern part from the bottom of the sea using a giant floating crane. On April 24, the bow was recovered.
North Koreans are masters at the game of “I win or you lose”.
Mighty impressive.
I saw mega barge cranes like that on “Build It Bigger” putting together bridges and ships in Korea.
If the USS Nimitz sunk, they would need a bigger crane, or two, or three, or four, or etc.
The second picture is of an intact vessel. The rudders are clearly visible as is the bow. Nothing is missing between them.
We’re going to need the biggest cranes imaginable to bring up our economy after this congress and President have waged their warfare on prosperity.
Yeah, the pictures we saw a week or so ago showed the two pieces. This doesn’t look correct.
First pic is of the forward part of the ship, the second of the aft. The green tarps cover the open areas in each.
No. There are two photos: One showing the bow getting lifted - broken in half at the engine room, the second lifting the stern (with props and rudders still attached.)
The second picture is of the back half only.
Nope, the second half is clearly the stern only. Note the green draping over the gaping hole on the rear of the bow half. It’s also found on the front of the stern section. Last, look at the size of those screws and shafts on the stern section. They would be out of all proportion were that the entire shift.
Yep, that is what I saw.
The USS Cole coming home.
How deep was the water?
Here are the best source of photos for a reference, that I have found.

Cool
So, S.Korea can lift half of a naval ship out of the sea, but we can’t plug up a pipe in the gulf of mexico? Hummm...
You owe me a clean keyboard.. Puke particles are stuck between the keys now.... Thanks
ROFLMAO!
