I don't have any problem with Ward or Palin endorsing. I thought she got it very wrong with the Fiorina endorsement who it is pretty clear that without her ability to loan herself money would be no where in the race. Given the amount of money she's put into the primary race she should be cruising and that she is not and has twice the negatives of both DeVore and Campbell should tell her supporters that she is likely to fail horribly in the general election. She will be targeted as an off-shoring HP executive who had business deals with Iran through a subcontractor? Tell me how long it will take for an ad like that to hit home? It is coming. Overall I think Sarah is great. She speaks out and doesn't retreat from a fight and she is getting better with time but she still lacks some of the political insight that could make her an unstoppable conservative leader.

This group seem fishy to me. I understand the anger over Fiorina, but to start using phrases like she is being destructive seems odd.

For Baumbach, an ardent Labrador supporter, the visit isnt so much about Palins support of Ward, its about her becoming involved in Idaho politics. I am disgusted by her interference in local elections, said Baumbach in an e-mail to IdahoReporter.com. Its abusing her star power to favor Ward over a man she hasnt met.Sarah Palin was born in Idaho. If she endorses a solid conservative like Maj. Vaughn Ward in the state of her own birth -- is that really "interfering", or just expressing her legitimate opinion in favor of the Republican of her preference?
I mean, if Barack Obama weighed in on local elections in Kenya... well, never mind...

That’s lame to be upset over the McCain endorsement. I would lose respect for her if she didn’t endorse McCain. McCain elevated her to the national stage...it’s just basic decency that she show respect to him.

That’s all you need to know about this. The GOP old boys against Sarah.

I wish she would be a little more circumspect with her endorsements and keep her eye on the national picture.

I was a huge fan, because I believe in people who profess their faith. Shes a good example of why we need to focus on God not man, Baumbach. An eggs-in-one-basket man. Interesting. Maybe he forgot the old saying, "Satan and his demons can quote Scripture." (not equating SP to Satan or demons)

This rally makes no sense.
I agree that we should reject the GOP “kingmaker” mentality, but Sarah has been very effective for the cause of liberty.
To: Maelstorm
With the exception of McCain, Sarah has made solid conservative endorsements. It would do the GOP well to listen to her if they want to win in November. Alas, I fear the GOP party elites will ignore her and maybe even destroy any chance of regaining control of the House and or Senate.

I think the best thing to do is send a message by NOT going.
first fill up ALL the parking in the area with busses and cars. Then just do not go inside. Nobody can park.

Aside from if you agree or disagree with each of her endorsements, it is working as an effective strategy for herself.
It keeps her name in the news and discussion forums.

If she runs, I will be voting for Palin in 2012.
These cheap theatrics don’t bother me in the least.

There has been building resentment for some time over Palin endorsing candidates who are not Conservative. The best thing she can do for the Tea Party movement is to stop running around the country handing out endorsements as if the people are too stupid to figure it out for themselves.

The fact is, none of us will ever agree 100% with any political candidate/figure. That’s just an empirical truth and there’s no way around it. I don’t think it has to do with political insight, per se.

The media is looking for any story where Palin can be portrayed in a negative manner and here you have a primary battle where Palin endorsed one over the other and the other is pissed...because he didn't get the nod. The claim of Palin interference in a local election is dubious as Ward served as McCains Nevada state campaign director in 2008.

This is nuts......Ward is a solid conservative, He is the right choice.... just because he worked on McCain Nevada group doesn’t mean that he is a RINO.....This guy obviously has sour grapes because his guy wasn’t picked by Sarah....who btw, her endorsements are considered gold

So here is this idiot who supports Labrador, an unrepentant commie from Puerto Rico, an immigration lawyer, amnesty advocate, anti-American, open borders, Obama sycophant, who is hiding under the (R) label in the conservative state of Idaho, supported by some RINO hacks in the Idaho legislature. To whom should the conservative voters of Idaho listen.

Raul Labrador left Catholicism to become a Mormon. So Labrador has the Ron Paul, and the Mormon vote.
Lucas Baumbach is a Ron Paul groupie and member of Idahoans for Liberty
Raul Labrador Wins! by Lucas Baumbach:
“Idahoans for Liberty, the group that won 24% of the 2008 primary vote for a long-shot candidate, Ron Paul, Ward ignores. Ignoring 24% of the primary electorate is not a good strategy. Ward, although reportedly a graduate of a superior business school, is failing in the numbers department. Labrador has networked at a few Idahoans for Liberty meetings, securing 24%+ for himself just by showing up.”
snip
“The Paulers, as the establishment types call the Ron-Paul followers (ie, Idahoans for Liberty), are scoffed at. But, the Paulers are gaining influence.”
