Arizona and the Faithless Obama
American Thinker ^ | May 19, 2010 | Lance Fairchok

Edited on 05/19/2010 8:29:36 PM PDT by Admin Moderator. [history]

faithless Pronunciation: \ˈfāth-ləs\ Function: adjective Date: 14th century 1 : not true to allegiance or duty : treacherous, disloyal 2 : not to be relied on : untrustworthy

Watching President Obama's news conference with Mexican President Calderon today was an infuriating experience. I expected the pandering and insincere promises and I even expected some indirect criticism of Arizona's new illegal immigration legislation. What I did not expect was Obama to be so ideologically blinded that he would make the political blunder of criticizing an American state and its lawfully elected legislative body at a press conference in lock step with a foreign head of state. I should have known better.

Obama sided with a foreign power that sees the US as a cash cow and entitled to our money and our jobs. The billions of dollars from illegals working in the states keeps the failed government of Mexico afloat. The ruling elite in Mexico know that without the US absorbing the energies of millions of young Mexicans, their country would collapse into revolution. We are the pressure vent for the discontent that would rightly fuel that revolution. Corruption defines Mexico; drugs are a symptom of a criminal pathology that has infected the very bones of the country. Rather than fully address that, it is easier to cast dispersions at the US, especially now that we are emasculated by a leftist administration.

Mexican President Calderon's criticism of Arizona is thoroughly hypocritical and opportunistic. Like Obama, he's pandering to his radical fringe who view the US as stolen territory, the La Raza racists and Reconquista cultural insurgents. Mexico's official policy is to treat the border problems as something we created, as if our success is something for which we should apologize. Obama agrees. "We are not defined by our borders," our post-modern socialist President told the assembled news people and Mexican dignitaries. Whatever utopian claptrap inspired that nonsensical comment will not resonate with the American people who are sick and tired of apologies to every foreign despot and fool.

Obama's behavior is nothing less than a betrayal of the United States and our system of government, a slap in the face of law abiding citizens who believe in states' rights and the Constitution. Obama just acted like what he is, a perpetually adolescent ideologue from the fever swamps of leftist academia. He is faithless, neither patriot nor revolutionary, an opportunist at the beck and call of special interests and radicals without an original idea of his own. He will happily sell this country down the river, a "post-American" President with no love or affinity for the people he supposedly leads.

Obama is congenitally incapable of understanding that the President of America has a duty and responsibility to all Americans, not just black Americans or Hispanic Americans or poor Americans or transgender lesbian cross-dressing Americans. He hears only the minority and the radical. We want "our" borders secured, illegals sent home and the federal government to do its job instead of trying control our lives. With unemployment above ten percent, we can use the jobs done by immigration lawbreakers. I can make my own burritos, thank you very much.

"He hears only the minority and the radical."

This sentence should have been set out as its own paragraph, and printed in bold. It is the key to understanding Obama's pathology.

He is so radical, that he doesn't even attempt to thread his public comments down the ideological middle, as most presidents would - especially during a flap of such enormous socio-political implications as the Arizona law has brought to the fore - and with his party facing annihilation this Fall.

Unbelievable. This, my friends, is the very picture of a 1,000% committed ideologue. I have never seen a president ignore the clear will of the American people the way Obama is doing.

The man is an oligarch. It's clear that he patterns his style of governance after dictators and other oppressive potentates who rule over their people with the iron fist of pure force.

Obama really must go. He's a sick individual who has no business in government, let alone the presidency.

We are not defined by Obama.

Erasing the world’s borders during this age leads to one specific result.

An exiled prisoner’s vision on the Isle of Patmos long ago tells us all we need to know.

Free trade is one thing; uncontrolled open borders is another.

I even expected some indirect criticism of Arizona's new illegal immigration legislation..."The AZ law has the potential for leading to discrimination" or thereabouts - less than indirect, his criticism like much of what the left puts out was downright cowardly - he couldn't come right out and say the law was discriminatory because it isn't, but manages to to damn it anyway by saying it has the potential to be discriminatory, as do most laws, like say Obamacare - a gutless non-wonder.....

“We are not defined by our borders,” our post-modern socialist President told the assembled news people and Mexican dignitaries.”

Then what are we defined by? Obama has already declared our system of “negative rights” antiquated, so there goes limited government. He has personally threatened Fox news, and has favored limitations on freedom of speech. Obama is replacing rule of law with “social justice” and thinks capitalism is evil. He has had his eyes on the savings of the retirees who worked and sacrificed so as not to be a burden on others, so that leaves out our former right to the pursuit of happiness.

Now we are not even defined by our borders? That implies that we are no longer a nation even in a political or linguistic sense. You still have the right to an opinion, Barry, even if nobody else does. So tell us. What is left for us to be defined by?

Then he should receive a trial and convicted and hanged.

And that should be televised too.

And would ALL be within the legal limits of the Constitution, and not rebellious or unamerican at all.

A President who mocks and taunts Americans, who incites his followers to be confrontational, is troublesome.

One of the guests at the state dinner was Carlos Slim Hula, the richest man in the WORLD. No accident that he is vested in the NY Times, works with and contributed to Bill Clinton.

Someone is getting big bucks to sell us out to Mexico.

[snip]Key members of the US-Mexico community were expected among 200 guests at the glamorous black-tie gala evening at the White House, as well as actresses Whoopi Goldberg and Eva Longoria, and Mexican billionaire business mogul Carlos Slim.

http://www.exposeobama.com/2010/05/20/obama-turns-on-glamour-for-mexico-state-dinner/comment-page-1/

Foreign business people have made even larger contributions to the Clinton Foundation, with $100 million each from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim Helu,

(Does anyone remember that photo of Carlos with the Clinton’s at the White House???)

[snip]Mr Slim’s vast family empire controls more than 200 companies spanning industries including banking, telecoms, road-building and restaurants.

His influence is all-encompassing in his homeland of Mexico, and it is rapidly spreading across the border into the USA and beyond.

Last year he extended his tentacles into North America when he announced plans to inject £250 million into the struggling national newspaper, the New York Times, in which he already owned a 6.4 per cent stake.

Mr Slim’s interests across the border include a 1 per cent share of Citigroup, the troubled banking conglomerate, which he bought last year.

Most recently, he joined forces with Bill Clinton, the former US President, and Frank Giustra, the Canadian mining tycoon, to launch an anti-poverty campaign in Latin America.

Nightly News ran a segment on a Guatemalan illegal w/ no driver's license -----he ran over 4 teenage girls crossing the street.

Two teens landed on his hood......he sped away. The girls were bloodied, hurt and screaming for their lives---the barbarian stopped short, as if to get rid of debris off his friggin hood. The girls landed in the street w/ traffic speeding by.

Luckily, a Good Samaritan took off after the savage Guatemalan, traveling at 90 MPH....the GS cut him off, dragged him out of the car, took his keys, and called 911.

Immigration Officials Identify Guatemalan Driver in Minnesota school-bus Crash That Killed 4 Kids

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Immigration agents say they've learned the true identity of a van driver charged in a Minnesota bus crash that killed four children. Twenty-4-year-old Olga Marina Franco of Guatemala is accused of running a stop sign and hitting the school bus. Investigators say she gave them a fake name after last week's crash and told them she was from Mexico. Franco is charged with four counts of criminal vehicular homicide and lesser crimes. Authorities say she claims she stopped at the sign and the bus hit her. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers say they believe Franco is an illegal immigrant.

NEWS BRIEF Gov't of Guatemala Protests Arrest of 3 in Florida Over Passports.....

ANALYSIS The Guatemala govt is scared stiff they won't get all the money Guatemalan immigrants are draining from the US Treasury. Thousands of Guatemalans came here on ‘temporary status’ as an excuse after some ‘natural disaster’.......and never go home.

REFERENCE At a summit held last May, the Guatemalan AG for Human Rights said that 10% of Guatemala's population has relocated to the U S. About 60% currently in the US do not possess legal immigration documents.

A 2005 study by the Intl Organization for Migration, says the Guatemalan population here numbers 1,364,000 persons. The study found that the vast majority of Guatemalan immigrants in the US send money back home, to the tune of $3.6 billion last year, alone.

Guatemalan immigrants in the US sent $3.6 Billion back home last year alone. Social Security provides outrageous financial aid to Guatemalans who have been coached by their government to "seek asylum." These people never paid a dime into the SS system; yet they collect seven years straight, and get extended payments w/ political connections. Checks can amount to $1000 a month, and more.

Guatemalan bishops’ conference: Arizona immigration law the ‘most shameful’ in history
catholicculture.org ^ | May 18, 2010
FR Posted May 19, 2010 by NoLibZone

The Pastoral Care of Migrants Committee of the Guatemalan Bishops' Conference issued a statement on May 14 blasting Arizona’s recently enacted immigration law. Calling the legislation “the most shameful in the history of migration,” the committee said that the law will foster “international violations of the civil rights” of immigrants and will “institutionalize racism, xenophobia, and discrimination against immigrants.” “The irrational anti-immigrant law will directly affect more than 460,000 immigrants,” the statement continued. “We repudiate the expulsion of more than 100 children of immigrants by the schools of Arizona.” “Our responsibility as Christians is to not remain silent in the face of inhumane laws and policies that divide families and undermine human dignity.” Source(s): these links will take you to other sites, in a new window.
