It's tempting to gloat tonight! Very, very. Tempting to talk about how the White House, the entire Pennsylvania Democrat Party establishment (from the governor on down) and the unions -- realizing Joe Sestak is too much of a gun-grabbing wingnut to win in November -- mobilized behind snarlin' Arlen Specter, yet the back-stabbing, double-crossing tawdry turncoat went down in flames anyway (even according to Scottish law!); or how neither Blanche Lincoln nor Bill Halter could win a Democrat primary out-right by clearing the 50 percent plus one threshold, therefore forcing the Arkansas Democrat Party into a costly and damaging runoff; or how Kentucky Republicans gave Rand Paul a landslide victory over a RINO who's too chicken to appear on Fox News; or how Viet Nam war hero Richard Blumenthal fabricated out of whole cloth his service in Viet Nam (claiming he accidentally misplaced a few words), thus putting the Connecticut Senate race in play -- but I'm not going to mention any of this because that would be gloating, and I never engage in that.

Even with the advantage of having a highly competitive state-wide Senate primary going and a 2-to-1 voter registration edge in a district so stupid it voted for John Murtha repeatedly, Democrat Mark Critz still had to run against ObamaCare, Crap & Trade, etc. to win in PA-12. As Sean Trende of RCP points out, "there are over sixty districts represented by Democrats with better Republican performances than PA-12. The Republicans' path to 218 seats doesn't necessarily run through this district . . . the [GOP's] path of least resistance . . . still runs through places like OH-01, NY-29, IL-11, and NM-02: historically Republican districts that voted out GOP incumbents as part of the anti-Republican wave" of '06 and '08. Nuff said.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Wrong, the media should be saying Specter lost to Sestak means that Democrats don’t tolerate moderate in their party! Small tent party

“Democrats also gloated at Mr. Paul’s victory, calling it a rejection of Mr. McConnell, the Kentucky Republican who had endorsed Mr. Grayson. Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine said Mr. Paul is “outside of the political mainstream” and that Republicans have hurt their chances to keep the seat now held by retiring GOP Sen. Jim Bunning in November.”

LOL!! And you think that people will rally around the Marxist party?? You idiots! Being a Democrat and a RINO is a political death sentence in KY right now.

The only thing that has kept me from voting in a primary was that, oddly enough, the primary date wasn’t advertised in the paper this year. Usually there’s a section devoted to the candidates but not this time around.

Sometime, you’ll need to go ahead and gloat so that we can see what that looks like.

Benedict Arlen can get a job with his "dear friend" Joe Biden, who makes up "facts" out thin air the way most of process oxygen.

Specter has always been a jerk. I told this story before, but when Air Force pilots had to fly Arlen "Where's My Squash Racket!" Specter around Europe on a DV jet, everyone cringed. He was (and is) a notorious tool, self centered, demanding, and childish.

Watch this video of how Specter ignores the will of his constituents during a Health Care Town Hall meeting.

Crowd Explodes When Arlen Specter Urges That We "Do This Fast"

I hope and pray that every tyrant who voted to confiscate (read: steal) our health insurance is thrown out of office.

Here's a piece from the article that bothers me...

For example, MoveOn.org's political action committee backed Mr. Sestak, Mr. Halter and the winner of Kentucky's Democratic Senate primary, Attorney General Jack Conway. Mr. Conway narrowly toppedLt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo.

Insurgent candidate Rep. Joe Sestak...

A current DC political hack is an "insurgent candidate."

I agree with your post, JH.

Funny how the Democrats are gloating with the win in PA when Critz ran like Speedy Gonzales away from anything associated with Obama and the Democrat liberal-leftist record.  He saw the value in that strategy.  The writing is clearly on the wall.

As Rush commented today, Critz had to present himself as the Rush Limbaugh of Democrats to win the election in a place where Democrat voter registration runs 2 to 1 over Republicans, where unions are very influential, and where the electorate is used to government handouts.

If Critz keeps his word he will be a great ally of Republicans since he is against Obama's policies. But we all know he is Democrat and as such he had to lie to the voters to win this election.  So when he breaks his first promise sometime between now and election day in November, it will be a great opportunity for Burns and the GOP to expose his record and bolster their chances of winning.
