A small but spirited group of activists, outraged at comments by Lakers coach Phil Jackson that seemed to back Arizona's controversial new immigration law, rallied Monday outside Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles before the playoff opener against the Phoenix Suns. "The way we look at it, Phil Jackson is supporting the Arizona law," said Mario Gonzalez, a longtime Lakers fan and rally organizer. "That's surprising. It caught us off guard. We want to find out where the team stands on the law."

You'll straighten him out, right?....Pancho?
Because it's soooooooo important to find out the opinion of the L.A. Lakers on an Arizona law.
There were more news-reporters than there were "activists". But not one of the news stations pointed out that at most there were about 15 protesters.
Easy.
You obey it.
Sounds like Phil may have read the law. That’s why he’s not as informed as our Attorney General or obama...who claim that they haven’t.
Notice how the frame the protesters?....it looks wall to wall but you are right, less than 20 people showed up...
We want to know where the Lakers stand on Arizona. STHU
I loathe the NBA and most of the other leagues as the NFL is incredibly pro-Obama yet the idiots still watch it. I think Phil Jackson was awesome in his comments.
Ha! From everything I heard Jackson is a lib, and these morons are going to nail him to a cross until he recants.
I want to know what Phil Jackson thinks of the 2-1-2 defense.
So what if a NBA basketball coach supports the law? We all can’t be liberal, Speedy Gonzalez!
Unless I missed something, didn’t Jackson just basically say you shouldn’t put politics in sports and turn it into a rally?
I don’t recall him saying anything about it one way or another as far as his position.
Governor Brewer! What are your thoughts on the traingle-and-1 offense?
That’s right...all he said was, keep politics out of sports. and these idiot radicals run with it....
“Oh Cisco!”
“Oh Pancho!”
Ta gotta be old to know!
That's correct. To the pro-illegal alien crowd, you're either with them or against them. Jackson has not said he's for them, so they assume he's against them. Intellectually dishonest.
Humm...last name Gonzalez...doesn't believe in following the law...shocking....
Ta?”
meant “Ya.” New bifocals,,,,,,,,
