If Gov. Brewer isn’t careful, she’s going to get herself re-elected.
Good on the governor. I guess she's serious about making her state a better place for all US citizens.
I have a hunch that a law just like this would be gladly supported by Lefties if the courses being taught were about how Socialists in our government have enslaved Mexican-American by creating a permanent dependency and promoting cheap, illegal labor.
There are nearly 10k comments on this article. Amazing.
Liberals LOVE profiling for power.
This last few weeks has me wonderin’ if Brewer has aspirations for higher office. If not, then maybe President Palin could make her the head of homeland Security.
“Do better” at what?
If they’re “learning” pseudointellectual crap, it doesn’t matter how much they’re learning.
I see nothing wrong with that picture of a clear eyed, logical, experienced leader.
She looks strong and wise to me.
I am not white I am melanin neutral :-)
Ethnic studies, women’s studies, most “studies” disciplines are nothing more than a colossal waste of time and money. Anyone holding a doctorate in “women’s studies”, to me, means they have spent a great part of their lives following an academically deficient cause. It’s even more laughable that they want themselves to be referred to as “Doctor.” They are about as much of a doctor as my pocket lint is.
I didn’t realize Mexicans were a race. Profiling a nationality, yes, a race? NO. The mexicans are as mixed with European and Asains as we are. Hienz 57 a race? , YES, that’s what 80 percent of Americans are, Canadians are, South Americans are, Mexicans ARE too. I’m beginning, when asked my RACE, HEINZ 57.
The Highland Park High School (Illinois) girls varsity basketball team was reveling in its first championship in 26 years.
The team members were selling cookies for months to raise funds for a tournament in Arizona and couldn't wait to go.
However, their hoop hopes were dashed when they were informed today (Wednesday) they had to stay home.
"Safety concerns partly forced the decision" said a District spokespersonette, "but participation in the tournament would not be aligned with our beliefs and values".........referring to the controversial immigration law recently passed by the Arizona legislature.
Roared a parent of a team member "Why are they mixing politics and basketball!!!"
The parents are enraged. Stay tuned.

Ask “Los Suns.”
He wanted a caller to call the school spokesgal and tell her that if the District is so afraid of a Mexican community backlash, why don't the school honchos all move to just north of the Mexican border and find out how the Arizonians feel.

Yea me either, but I know what they’re talking about. They try to find the LEAST attractive photos of Republicans and use them.
