In a sometimes testy televised debate Monday night, Paul's chief Republican opponent, Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson, said he "proudly" would vote for McConnell. McConnell has endorsed Grayson in the May 18 primary.

The debate is the final face-off in what has become an increasingly acrimonious race to replace Sen. Jim Bunning.

Everytime I think I can't like Rand Paul anymore, he does something "extra". This is of course payback for McConnell's primary. PRIMARY, mind you, endorsement of his opponent. Karma.

DeMint, if he doesn’t run for Prez. Sessions otherwise.

Wow, I like this guy!

Much better than the pretend Republican Grayson who is basically a re-packaged Democrat.

Just another reason why I support Sarah Palin, most of the time, she picks the best candidate to support.

She makes her mistakes, but overall, she’s rock solid.

Probably won’t please the 1%ers and foolish purists, but she’ll more than do.

Yea, but didn't Jim Demint just say that Jeb Bush, the Amnesty Lover, would be the best possible POTUS candidate?

Kind of makes you wonder about him, doesn't it?

DeMint is solid, I will reserve judgement on the Jeb Bush endorsement when it becomes relevant.

That shocked me. WOW!

That being said the GOP hasn’t won a presidential election since 1952 without either Nixon or a Bush on the ticket, for what that’s worth.

Jim DeMint - WTF???

Why should Rand support McConnell? McConnell won’t support Rand.

I’m with the crowd here. DeMint should be the new leader if any significant gains are made in the senate. Bennett isn’t al that bad nor is McConnell but a shake-up is needed. We can’t sell a new message to the public with the same old messengers.

McConnell has been there too long, he and his messages have gotten old and tired. Not age wise either.

You people backbiting DeMint and Palin for a couple of what you consider lapses, go back and revisit Newties remarks about Clinton--how Clinton just couldn't be resisted, he was so persuasive. Then there was Newtie's fall from Speaker, probably because he was too busy changing wives to mind the store; endorsing Scozzafava.

Newtie is a good speaker and makes a lot of good points; however, he didn't believe Hannity and Rush about Obama--how prescient is that? However, NOBODY's infallible. If they were, they would be a deity.

...I'm still leaning toward voting Paul. So, once again I show my third party affirmations. Here in Kaintuc it's getting real uuuuuugly. But, McConnell, McCain, Greyson, and all the rest of the career polititians can go back to their private lives, and get the fookin hands out of my life. Been here three year, and there's lots of votes this time, even locally here in Nicholasville. I'm watching them closely, this time around...

It is so refreshing to see a principled leader in action. I hope we can retire McConnel.

He most certainly did, and he kind of lectured us about the need to support the local GOP choice.

Scozzafava cost Hoffman the election and she did so with the support of people like Newt.
