Jeffords, Spectre, McCain, and Scozzafava are pro-abort. Fiorina, while not the ideal candidate, is adequately pro-life and conservative for the constituancy she’s running in.
That’s a fine line she has to walk. Ronald Reagan had built up a lot of conservative credentials in order to survive his pragmatic decisions and remain a conservative icon. There are things Reagan did that today would get any candidate laughed off the conservative stage, but we knew where Reagan really stood.
I guess the question is whether Sarah has built up enough conservative cred to wander off the reservation. Six months ago I would have said sure — watching the supporters on FR, it was clear she could do no wrong with them.
Now, I don’t think she was ever as conservative as they thought she was. I don’t think she’s as conservative as I am. But I don’t think there are a lot of people who are. And I don’t expect my candidates to think exactly like I do.
There is no such thing. You're either dead or you're alive. You're either pro-life or you're not. And Fiorina is not. That's obvious if you look past the surface of lying campaign "positioning."
All these alleged conservatives beating up on Dr. Keyes, one of the most brilliant spokespeople our side has, makes us look excatly like the stereotype the liberals spread of us.
