Actually the Argus Leader newspaper story did mention it, but we’re forbidden to post from them here due to copyright complaints, so I found the story on the TV stations website and added the comment.
Looking at her facebook page I see her undergraduate degree was in “Liberal Studies”. Go figure....
Both stories mentioned it. Neither did in the title or first paragraph. When its a republican we get something more like this:

Local GOP candidate faces DWI charges
“Republican Joe Smith, the GOP candidate in district 2, surprised local republican officials when it was announced that the republican lawyer was arrested following a DWI.”
