That must have been the reaction yesterday of many liberal Boston Globe readers when they read what must have been to them some very painful truths in a Joan Vennochi column about denial of reality by government officials over who was behind the Times Square bomb plot. Vennochi could have also been writing about many in the mainstream media such as MSNBC's Contessa Brewer who were hoping it was a Tea Party member behind the plot:
AMERICANS CAN handle the truth. But when it comes to terrorist acts on American soil, government officials are reluctant to give it to us straight from the start.
Instant analysis of the Times Square bomb scare kicked off with the usual official disclaimers: Don’t presume a Muslim extremist had anything to do with it.

Government/media, immediately after the incident - “We suspect this was the act of some disgruntled right wing tea party extremist.”
Government/media, immediately after the truth - “We don’t want people acting out and making rash acts or thoughts about the Islam religion.”
Marxist America’s unofficial Ministry of Propaganda - also known as the national press corps - was urgently hoping that the act was home grown, so that they could clack their collective tongue and deflect blame from Obama’s New Royalty - the Moslems - to Obama’s critics, also known as the American people.
Naturally, they were hoping, too, that hero Obama’s courtship of the Moslems would be a success, rather than the utter failure it so plainly is.
Meanwhile, the vilification of America’s erstwhile, and only reliable, ally in the Middle East, Israel, goes on apace.
Actually, didn’t CAIR step up to the plate on this one and take somewhat of a stand against this kind of cowardly action? I thought I saw something to that effect.

Libs want to keep up the charade because doing what is necessary, profiling, is against their bleeding-heart nature. To admit that male Muslims must be watched far more closely than people at random makes lib’s brains shriek with self-righteous agony. Unless, of course, they can profile those nasty, wacky right-wingers. That’s the only profiling they’re for.
