This quote is taken directly from Vattel’s book on the Law of Nations, which has been a world recognized and time honored reference guide to understanding “natural law,” and the natural birthrights of national citizenship recognized by all civilized nations for more than two-hundred and fifty years.
Emerich de Vattel was a Swiss philosopher, diplomat, and legal expert who lived from 1714 – 1767, and whose theories laid the foundation of modern international law and political philosophy. Vattel’s book on the Law of Nations was released in 1758; in English, The Law of Nations or the Principles of Natural Law Applied to the Conduct and to the Affairs of Nations and of Sovereigns.
Vattel’s book established many time honored standards of natural law recognized the world over and it is an historical reference regarding the Constitutional eligibility requirement for the offices of President and Vice President, Natural Born Citizen, found in Article II – Section I – Clause V.
“No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.”

The fact is that Obama lived as Barry Soetoro as a Indonesian citizen. Was Obama adopted and his name legally changed? Did Obama ever reapply for American citizenship or did he return as a foreign aid student? Did Obama ever legally change his name back from Barry Soetoro? It is very possible that Obama is not using his real name and that he is an illegal alien.
Barry sets a good example for people asked for their papers......he lawyers up.
I think we can safely assume that he's the latter part of that statement, all we gotta do is establish that he's also the former...
All good questions. I have those and more. The problem is no enforcement body (agency or court, state or federal level) and even the National Parties are all saying it was someone elses job.
The citizens and votes lose every time in this scenarios.
It may well be a ‘dead horse’ if someone doesn’t start doing their jobs properly.
This is one of the books that George Washington checked out from the library and never returned. He must have thought it was an IMPORTANT BOOK.

The only realistic way that I see to handle this is now is at the state level, for legislatures to pass laws requiring original, certified (long form?) birth certificates be produced for all candidates to appear on any ballot going forward. Get the laws enacted ASAP - in time for November 2010 where possible.
If someone wants to challenge Obama retroactively, go ahead, but let’s close the loophole looking forward.

This isn’t a birther issue. The cretin was born in Hawaii. He was born TO a British father. That makes him as British as it does American. He is an Usurper, and should be removed from the White House immediately.

Oh to all the after-birthers, yea, Washington read Vattel, and in fact there is proof he valued it so much he never returned it to the library he borrowed it from.
I would agree.
That perfectly explains the Obama’s otherwise bizarre declaration that illegal alien amnesty is DOA: he is an illegal alien, and pushing the proposal would bring scrutiny awful close to home.
