A car bomb nearly caused a bloodbath in the heart of Times Square yesterday as a homemade explosive device in an SUV parked outside the doors of the "The Lion King" fizzled out.
The bomb caused a terror scare that forced thousands of people to evacuate the Crossroads of the World and turn Times Square into a ghost town for hours.
A male mounted patrol cop looked inside the smoldering Nissan Pathfinder at around 6:30 p.m. on West 45th Street near Seventh Avenue in front of an entrance to the Minskoff Theatre, which houses the hugely popular Disney musical.
He smelled gunpowder and called in the Fire Department, which put out the car fire as the streets were cleared of civilians.

At least the bomb didn't explode. If it did, it would have been the first successful domestic terrorist attack in the United States. Obama would have then fingered the failed car bomb attack to the patriot militias and given a casus belli to attack them and declare nationwide martial law.

I tend to think it was either an anarchist, a commie/pinko type, or an illegal alien Yesterday was, after all, May Day, when all the leftist whacko groups come out of the woodwork to wreak havoc. Or it could be an enviroweeny, although I tend toward a Bill Ayers type (where was Bill yesterday?). Hopefully, we will find out. As it happened in Times Square in NY, that makes me doubt it was a militia type. They traditionally don’t hang out in NY. It could be a Muzzie terrorist type, as there are plenty of them in NY and NJ, however, they are saying the job was amateurish, which makes me still think it was some pinko type.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I DO NOT recall any car bombs
either set or detonated during the BUSH Administration.
I also DO NOT recall Islamic murders on U.S. Military Bases while the BUSH was in charge.
Car Bombs? This is a classic middle east method of attack and it looks like it may soon become common place in our own USA thanks to a weak-ass CIC and his Secretary of H.S.

Good point. When the FBI learns who the culprit is, maybe Obama could ask him to ghost write a book and use the Joyce Foundation to funnel money to the terrorist’s family. Hugh Rodham [Hillary’s brother] can find a way to sell a pardon, and Hillary will ponder the politics of a pardon [like FALN]. Perhaps Sheets Byrd could try to recruit the terrorist for ‘n’ word victims. Cynthia McKinney could request a donation. Turbin Durbin will compare the FBI with Pol Pot [and Obama will call them stupid]. Where we see terrorism, democrats see opportunity.

On May Day, when all the commies and anarchists come out, and all the illegal aliens are marching all over the U.S. Seems like an odd day for Muzzies to set a car bomb. I go with my radicals theory. The timing is not coincidental to the events of the day, IMO.
